Jacksonville?

Hi ladies! I wanted to say hi, I am a frequent poster over on the WCF board and my H & I are most likely going to be moving to Jacksonville after I graduate in December-he is getting a great job offer in his field! Any recs on nice places/areas to live right on the water? We already have a home here in Florida so we will be renting that out and looking for a condo to rent in the Jax area.

    Are you thinking of the River or Ocean as "on the water"?

    Welcome! Do you know what side of town your husbands employer is on? Do you want to live on water for the view or hobbies (boating versus surfing)?

    I am not sure what location he will be at, but I do know we just want to be on the water for the view :-)

    Probably max $1,000 if it's at least 3 bedroom 2 bath...we are still waiting to hear a lot of details so sorry I don't know much just researching :-(

    I haven't looked at rentals in a long time, but my sister and I paid $900 for a two bedroom older construction apartment about five miles inland six years ago. I'd look at Jacksonville Beach and Neptune Beach condos/duplexes for rent, but I can't imagine finding a three bedroom on the water for anywhere near $1k.If you can't find something in your budget on the water, I'd try the Southside or Intercoastal East/West. Hodges/San Pablo Blvd. Is a good area and at least close to the beach. GL!
