How many more days of school do you have left?
What are you doing for the summer?
Re: teachers...
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
Last day is the Monday the 20th... however I teach H.S. so next tuesday starts finals (and thats what I consider the last day mentally-haha)
This summer I am going to AP Training, so I can teach an AP course next year. I am also going to work my part-time job full time all summer, and possibly teach summer school. DH and I are going to Cape Cod for our anniversary long weekend!
The last kid day is the 17th and the last teacher day is the 21st. I need to pack up my room and move a lot of stuff home because I am switching schools next year. I am not looking forward to the packing part!
I am taking a course this summer from the National Writing Institute. I am so excited for it even though it is going to be a ton of work! For 4 weeks, it is Monday-Thursday from 8-4.
the 17th is the last day with kids and we may or may not have to report Monday. the district has said principals have the options of releasing teachers on Friday afternoon if their rooms are packed.
The students' last day was today. The teachers' last day is tomorrow. Then in the guidance department we start running report cards and putting together summer school letters. I work 100 hours in the summer, but usually that's to work on schedule conflicts, and since the assistant principal finished the master schedule way early this year, I only have one conflict left to fix. I plan to spend the summer trying to get ahead for once.
Other than that I'm hoping to relax, read, do some home improvement stuff and take a few small trips.
I'm actually "out" for summer - I wasn't in the classroom the last year, so I've been "out" for a year.
I'm not doing too much. Working on the curriculum for fall, since it's a new job and some new courses I don't have curriculum for. My district is sending me to an 8 day training (M-Th, 8-3:30). That will be next week and the week after, and I'll get paid, so it'll be nice to have some extra cash.
DH and I are doing some little things, a concert here and there, a ballgame, maybe a camping trip or something. Mostly just relaxing.
The kids last day is the 17th and our last day is the 21st....I still have soooo much to do!
For the summer I will be waitressing a few nights a week and DH and I are going to Costa Rica for our belated honeymoon and we are going to Montreal for my cousins wedding!
The kids last day is the 16th, and teachers last day is supposed to be the 20th. It is quite annoying that we always have to come back after a weekend to finish everything!
This summer I am taking 6 units of online courses towards my masters. We're also doing the west coast tour, at least that is what I am calling our travel plans. CA in June, Oregon/Washington/CA in July, and Utah in August. Can't wait!
Wow!! We get out super early here! The school I student taught at got out May 24. And that was relatively late for the area.
When do you all go back in the fall?
We go back in late August. I don't know the exact date and don't want to think about it right now.
When do you go back?
Hahaha! I hear you on that! Teachers report August 11. Students August 16.
