ETA: Who would ever even THINK to match their food! Hell, our colors were like a aqua and pink , and we had Brisket and beans and potato salad! Guess I should have got my caterer to dye to potato salad!

When I saw the thread, my mind went to Green Eggs and Ham. Then Barney.
Going to that extreme to match your colors is not necessary.
However, if it's green salsa like she says...yummy. Not weird. I love that stuff. And once I was trying to make an apple sauce for chicken and the only thing I had was apple raspberry juice and while it was purple-pink, it was great. I guess I'm the odd man out but I can see it being done in a tasteful way, if you do it in a natural way.

As far as the sauces go, I'm sure they will taste fine, and I bet they can make it look okay. But, WHY would you want your food to match your colors. That is just crazy.

I'm not into my food being colors I don't expect it to be. I don't even like those colored tortilla chips...even though they taste the same.

See, here's the thing. I have a hard enough time keeping things within my color scheme such as, say...flowers, napkins, and other table linens. Food? Really?! No ma'am.
