Things I have to get used to again...

traffic, red light cameras, speed cameras and oh did I mention traffic?

Yesterday was my first day at UMD and it was good! I'm still working on access to all the systems, but overall good. Traffic was a little on the painful side, but I knew it would be. Living at my parents has been interesting and we are only 5 days into it ;)  H will be up next week with another load of stuff and we will look for houses next weekend.

welcome back Jaime! How would you rate your whole FL experience? Did you enjoy living there?

I would rate it an 8. I think we made some bad living choices in the begining, which hindered us from meeting people (we lived around some crazy rednecks) and having really long commutes (45 miles) to work made us not like it at first. Once we moved closer to the beach and work, we  really enjoyed it and we met some great people. It's sad that we moved in March, so we were just getting settled in there and were really enjoying. We both loved our jobs, but weren't making any money. People say COL is lower there, but I don't see it. The actual home prices are much cheaper, but gas, groceries, utilities are the same here. H and I have said that we will retire to FL, maybe just a little bit more south. I look at our experience as we were meant to do it. I was meant to work at UNF and meet some amazing people and gain some great work experience. H and I really had to learn to rely on eachother for everything, so we spent a lot of time together doing stuff we normally would have done with friends if we had been here. We both had always wanted to move out of Maryland and even though it was only a year and a half, it was a great experience! We want to have kids soon, so being near family is going to make that decision a lot easier too.
