Father's Day gift ideas

Mother's Day gifts are so easy.  I usually get both my mom and my step-mom a beautiful plant, gardening tools, flowers, etc.

But I never know what the "equivalent" is for Father's Day.  Suggestions?

Re: Father's Day gift ideas

  • I will be interested to see the answers you get.  I always have a hard time picking out Father's Day gifts for my dad too.  My dad loves sports, but he travels a lot for work at the last minute so it's impossible to tell when he'll be home to attend a sporting event.

  • My dad likes eating out and watching sports.  We usually get him Triple A ball Tix and a GC for his favorite...(ribs place, steak place, Italian place).   For someone who travels a lot, how about something travel related to make his life easier.
  • My dad is a big time golfer so I usually get him golf passes and a gift card to the country club pro shop.

My father in law is a lot harder though...I usually leave that one up to my husband, lol. I think this year we're getting him Nascar tickets though.

  • For a traveler those pack-it folder things are awesome. You can fold shirts or pants and it keeps them looking nice when you unpack. You can always get those cube things and fill it with his favorite cookies/snacks. Travel mug with coffee gift card.

Lawn service for a month. Magazine subscription. Kindle or gift card for books.

  • I made a "Squidoo" lens about Father's Day gifts fairly recently (if you haven't heard from Squidoo, it's just a place where you can make a website or "lens" about a subject you're interested in).  Most of the gifts come from one site specifically, but it's a good place to look for some ideas.  =)

(I promise I'm not one of those people who goes onto sites and post links to their own website - I originally worked for this gift website, but I hardly ever promote it unless I think it could possibly help someone out.)
  • I'm getting DH a grilling fathers day set from pampered chef.
    Lilypie Maternity tickers

Daisypath Anniversary tickers **TTC buddies with TheDeaton's!**
  • An exceptional gift like tickets to his favorite game or a weekend trip with your mother will give your father a break from the habitual way of living. You can also buy him a gift basket or a personalized gift that will stay with him for the rest of his life. Remember that fathers want love from their familyso gift him some thing that will show your love for him.

Personally, I think the gift basket would be a great idea and it can have a collection of his favorite things. I did some research online and I found this website called www.bluechopsticks.com which has a bunch of good gift baskets and other gifts for fathers day.

I hope this information was helpful :)

  • If your Dad appreciates a cell phone with simple features, you can give him the Just5 cell phone. This is what I also plan to give to my Dad. The costs of the calling plans offered by this provider are very practical as well so it?s a very ideal phone to gift. I?ve got this idea when I read this write-up, Just5 Simple Phone: A Special Gift for Dads This Father?s Day. You may want to check it as well.
