charities that take furniture?
The Salvation Army just rejected our couch for one of the cushions being stretched a bit in one part. Anyone know other charities I can call to get them to take it away?
Re: charities that take furniture?
Purple Heart sent me an email referring me to the Salvation Army.
Lupus will only pick up wooden furniture - nothing with leather or upholstery.
I have a call in for Monday pickup, but they want us to move it outside and put it on the sidewalk.
I also put it on freecycle, so I'll call and cancel if it's gone before then.
Goodwill has a long waiting list for their free pickup service - up to 3 months. And they have a minimum of what they will pick up (8 bags of clothing!).
However, their 48hr Priority pickup is calling me back to see if we can schedule something - catch is, I don't know how much that is - there's definitely a fee. From their website:
