How is everyone today? I sort of cant' believe it's Thursday already. I'm freaking slammed at work right now. 2 high priority requests make things difficult.
I stayed late at work last night, but didn't mind so much because we've got a/c here and not at home. After I got home we all went to the mall for dinner and some shopping just to get out of what Erin has dubbed "The Oven" aka, our house. I guess it's time to look into central air, eh?
Tonight I will do lots of laundry. Hopefully I can keep Derek and Erin off the xbox so I can watch some TV while folding!

I could not live here without central air. There was just an article in the paper today about how in Windsor we get, on average, 28 days a year where the humidex reaches a minimum of 95 (35 celsius). I've been enjoying the central AC for about 2 weeks now.
I'm off work today since I worked the weekend. I hope I have time to go shopping for a few new workout clothes today. I have a massage at 12:30, plan on running before that and I have to pick up a friend after her shift at work to go to the funeral home - a coworkers father passed away. Tonight I plan on making tuna cakes for dinner so my day is going to be pretty jam packed.

First I'm laughing because Raynes said "eh" and she's Canadian.
I'm having a bad day, My SIL wants to talk to me tonight, I avoided her phone call last night, I could only manage a text congrats to her. My brother came over and told me to my face and I held it together until he left. I smiled, said congrats, asked questions, offered our useless baby supplies to them to use. Then at around 10:30pm I sobbed for a good hour.
We're suppose to do dinner for my birthday Sunday, but I don't really know how I'm going to handle it.
It's freakin' HOT! I don't like a heat index of 92 at 9:00 a.m.!
At 11:00 last night, we decided to starting picking the rest of the things for the church yard sale. Jim is going to drop it all off this morning and the back seat of the car was full. I feel good about getting all of that out of the house.
I have a list of things to do at work today, but nothing is urgent, so it should be a quiet kind of day. Today, I am going to play pub quiz at the Press Club.

Morning. Same old, same old over here. Still in job purgatory with no offer letter. Wanting to punch something. Trying not to think about it. About to get an iced latte for good measure.
Last night was nice--I made the decision to not discuss the job thing that evening, pushed H out the door to the gym, and whipped up a good taco dinner. After that we relaxed and read for a while, then went to bed early. Today's a gym day for me, but other than that, nothing too special. We're hoping we can go to Gordon Biersch tomorrow to finally celebrate, but I'm not holding my breath. Week three will come and go with no resolution, I'm sure.
Good morning! Well, Kyle got a job offer yesterday for the job that he interviewed for two weeks ago. Unfortunately the offer was for 1/3 of his current salary. We wouldn't be able to work with that much of a pay cut so he is going to have to pass. I'm happy that he got an offer though because at least it will give him the confidence to continue his search knowing that he is a desirable candidate.
Kyle is still sick so tonight I'm having a girls night. We're going swimming and then drinking wine and watching Top Chef Masters. I'm excited. I could really use a night out of the house.
Chica* This is the weirdest job offer story I've ever heard. I can't imagine waiting so long just to get the formalities to go through. I'm keeping my fingers crossed you don't somehow get screwed over in the end.
We had crazy storms last night, which sent everyone into a panic thanks to the tornados we had last week. I'm pretty sure it will be that way for a while every time we get a severe thunderstorm warning. Today it's just humid and gross, with a high into the triple digits. Thank goodness for AC actually working today.
Tonight I have to run errands that I've been putting off for way too long. I hate having to make stops on my way home and not being able to just go. It'll feel so much better when all of this stuff is done, though.
MO- Sorry it's a bad day. Will be thinking of you when you have "a talk" with SIL.
Today is ok. I found out lastnight that a childhood friend of mine died in a motorcycle accident. I knew he was in the hospital, but found out that he didn't make it. He honestly was stupid and god knows why he was trying to outrun a cop. So a friend and I are going to go to his Service on Saturday.
Other than that, I am excited for my weigh in today, after a month of being "off" the wagon, I am back on, and am expecting a 2-3lb weight loss.
It's harder now that I am not able to go to Zumba. Love that DH is working, but it sucks because I can't workout at night now. Time to start DH's P90X workouts after the boys go to bed I guess.

It's going to be a delightful 76* here today. We don't have A/C - just ceiling fans and cool nights. Easy day at work, then a baseball game tonight (minor league) with coworkers. I can't wait to sit in the stands with a cold beer.

My interview yesterday was great! They put my name forward as the person they want to hire, so now we're just waiting for confirmation from the board. That may actually be the difficult part, so we'll see! We were hoping it was all going to be sorted yesterday BEFORE my goodbye party, but that didn't happen.
We're having dinner with a friend of mine from high school tonight. He's working from a little town outside Toronto for the next six weeks during the week, living from a hotel... so he's going a little stir crazy! I haven't seen him in a while, so it'll be fun. Hopefully I'll have a reason to break out a beer or something today!

I am so tired today. This week has not been a good sleeping week for me and I am wiped! I have also had terrible allergies this year and the scratchy throat and sneezing is getting really old.
I still have a ton to get done around the house for the birthday party this weekend so that is what I will be doing tonight and tomorrow night. It will be a fun party though so it's all worth it.

Good morning! I'm still trying to get caught up at work but I'm seriously lacking motivation today.
Tonight I need to stop by the outlet mall and see if I can find a few different tops/jackets for our office photos tomorrow. If I find what I'm looking for within a reasonable time I'll also try to get in a workout tonight too.
Oh my gosh Crystal that's was a scary freak accident for sure! Hope both Jordan and Preston's doctor visits go well today.
I know, right? Everything was going smoothly until HR got involved--hell, I was even notified before the timeframe I'd been told that I had the job. I've worked for small businesses without HRs my entire career, so I'm not used to this at all.
Just left a message asking for an update on the letter and saying I'd like to give notice here tomorrow. Thing is, if it doesn't happen this week, it complicates things a lot.
Morning! As I said in the rant/rave post, we are getting dismissed early again today. This heat is unbearable!
My brother is coming to visit this weekend, so I will be spending tonight cleaning the house. We are having a Housewarming BBQ on Saturday. They are calling for scattered t-storms, so we are crossing our fingers that the weather is not too bad.
