Re: Good Morning!
Stand up for something you believe in.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Morning, friends!
Had a great night and a great night's sleep yesterday. It's super hot here, CB and I will be hitting up the pool again tonight after work.
In other news, my stomach is a bottomless pit today. Eating everything in sight!
Not a lot. Had a busy work day yesterday but today is looking to be pretty boring. Which is probably good because I slept terribly last night.
Jon is away tonight so I have a night by myself, which may help with the sleeping problem. I think he's stressed because he's been tossing and turning like crazy.
Just had a Stonyfield Farms 0% organic yogurt. Gross. So so gross. The texture was like...stringy..mucus or something. Ugh. I'm so grossed out. I had two bites and had to toss it. I'll be going back to Greek yogurt.
Getting my eyebrows threaded for the first time tonight. It turns out that I'm probably allergic to most of the waxes that have been used on my face so hopefully threading turns out to be a better option.
I'm allergic to all soft waxes and it is super hard to find someone to hard wax your face, so threading has become a great alternative for me- hopefully it works well for you too!
Be sure to take off all of your makeup if you're wearing any, otherwise you can risk it irritating your skin.
Stand up for something you believe in.
After waxing I'm generally bright red and irritated for upwards of 4 hours. Which for some reason I assumed was just because my skin is uber-sensitive. But someone mentioned that I was probably allergic and the lightbulb went on.
Good note on the makeup, I didn't know that. Thanks!!
good morning!
finally getting out of the house. SIL is taking me shopping and for a pedicure.it's going to be a scorcher today.
Morning friends.
I've had a long couple of days at work. It feels good to actually be in the office and out of the heat.
I'm meeting a friend for sushi today at a new place that I just love. Its SO good.
The downstairs is coming together. The LR and DR are painted now. All light fixtures are bought. The carpet place came to measure today and placed our order. We also bought all new plates for the outlets and switches, plus new outlets and switches. I got tester paint for the kitchen. So we are having progress.
Other than that, I'm feeling a little lonely. My mom is OOT and she is going to be gone for a month. This makes me sad. Especially because Andy is busy the next two weekends and OOT for three days next week.
Good morning lovies!
I just got into the office after a verrrrry early working breakfast (7am, 45 minute drive away, so I had to leave by 6:15.) I stopped at the good bakery on the way back and got the good cookies and some cinnamon rolls.
I'm looking forward to my day off tomorrow to spend some time with my baby girl, even if my husband is going to be complaining about his balls all. day. long.
Now I'm just diving into work! And thinking about what I'm going to have for lunch...
I highly recommend and LOVE threading. I had one too many bad experiences w/ part of my face coming off w/ waxing and have been threading for the past 5 yrs. Make sure you like the shape of your brows, because after repeated threading, the hair stops growing back, especially in the lower areas. I only thread about once a month/month and a half now.
Ohh..good to know. I kind of like that as an added bonus. My eyebrows get..muppety. Having to deal with them less sounds fantastic. But good point, I'll make sure to be clear on how I want them! Thanks!
Our plans today include lunch, picking up the screen for our window, and buying a new print (already picked out) for our mantle. Tomorrow, complete mantle makeover. **jazz hands**
Right now, we're just sitting at home. Robin turned it to "I Didn't Know I Was PG," but I started screaming at the tv too much, so he turned it to ESPN.
Doing a lot of laundry on my day off from work. I also haven't showered and have only made it to Wawa for coffee and tea as my daily adventure.
I'm currently watching episodes of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" on Hulu. It's truly my guilty pleasure. Other than all of this, I'm going to Fed Ex at some point with DH and writing an article for my blog.

not too much, I have a few things I need to write so I may just set up shop on the screen porch with some iced tea. Later I have to clean, a good friend called last night and asked if she could come visit this weekend. It works out perfectly, I had no birthday plans because everyone's so busy right now, and now she and I and Clint will go out to dinner and/or to the winery or something.
Yesterday afternoon I went to church to practice on their harpsichord, but they don't air condition that part of the building so I'm definitely not going today.
ETA: I also want to keep an eye on the front of our house... Clint told me not to go near the door if the UPS guy comes, so I think my birthday present is due in today
I hope it's small.
I'm planning on getting off my ass today and actually finishing the housework I started 3 days ago. I have stacks upon stacks of laundry that need to be put away. So I should be getting that done today.
I'm house sitting tomorrow so I'm sure the dogs are going to be pissed. I've been home all day every day since Saturday and now they'll be boxed up tomorrow. Benny will probably think I've abandoned him.
Plus I need to make a to do list for all the yard work that needs done before the 4th. Yay.
I'm allergic to wax too, but I never thought of threading! I used to get all these ugly white and red spots where the wax was. The first waxer told me I just have acne, even though I never break out around my eyebrows except the day after waxing. The second 2 tried to help me and use different things to soothe my skin, but nothing helped. I've just been plucking myself for the past few years, and I could probably use some professional assistance.
I've been kind of scared to try it, but the eyebrows have to be tamed and I'm willing to try something new. It can't be WORSE then what happens after waxing.
I get those white and red bumps too. I also get crazy red splotches that last for upwards of 4 hours..and burning. So we'll see how the threading goes. I'll keep you updated
