QOTD

What do you do to stay cool? Temps are suppose to be over 100 here today! Do you wear less clothing/lighter clothes, pull your hair up, just stay in the A/C?

I typically wear lighter clothes and put my hair up and drink TONS of water.

Re: QOTD

  • Stay in the AC. I hate the heat. It's supposed to be 99 today and feel like 107. Really. It's June 9th!

  • Seriously! - yesterday and today were/are both going to be 100 degrees! My hair is up 24/7 these days. I have one of those sun shade reflector thingys for my windshield. I try to stay indoors and occasionally hit up the drive thru at Chickfila for ice cream. I currently have a fan running on full blast under my desk here at work.

  • I want a milkshake from Chik-fil-a something terrible. I'm going to try to get one Friday!

  • Stay in the AC as much as possible.  If not, I wear light clothes (shorts & tanks) and put my hair up.  Lots of water and a Skinny Cow icecream sandwich for a cold but lite treat.

  • I normally love the heat.  85+ is heaven to me.  This year not so much.

I have been staying in the a/c, even in my car which is unusual.

ETA:  I usually wear less clothes as well.  My hair is too short to pull up.

  • Stay in AC. Work is pretty decent home I actually get cold a lot because DH blasts the air.
  • Stay inside in the ac.  It is way too freaking hot.
  • I am lucky with my job that I never have to wear office attire so I am normally in dresses or shorts and a tank. I also have shorter hair and sit in front of a fan when at home. I drink a ton of ice water too.
    I heart Ben!!

  • Umm all three usually.  I'm wearing lighter clothes, hair is up when i go outside, and I avoid going outside as much as possible these last couple days.  Tomorrow is supposed to only be a high of 70 though.  So huge temp swing!
  • Luckily my school has AC so work is nice, sometimes cold! Pat loves the AC so our house is cold too. We have our pool too so that always works. I like my hair up too.

    1. I need to get one of those things. All black car + all black leather interior = one hot tushy

    2. I really want a Chickfila milkshake now

This is the only time of year that I take advantage of the lack of dress code at work. Tanks, shorts and flipflops are what I am living in right now. I'm very  happy that my air conditioning is now working in all the rooms I have to be in.

I've been wearing my hair up but that gives me a  headache if it is up too long. Today it is half up and I'm hot.

  • Once it gets this hot (100) I try to stay in the a/c. Also, hair is up and I reeeeally wanted a tropicana coolatta from dunkin donuts on my way back from the doc, but refrained (this time Smile).  My feet are so swollen I just wanted to get back to my a/c office and put them up.

  • I survive with

    1) less clothes (pre pregnant) I would wear either mens mesh shorts or cheerleading shorts, and a sports bra/ bathing suit top and then just throw on a shirt on the way into a store OR I'll wear a sun dress - I also tend to walk around barefoot until I enter a store.
(Working at a summer camp that's all girls, you tend to walk around half nekkid to deal with heat - we only had a/c in the staff house so I basically would spend all my summers a/c-less)

    2) hiding in A/C

    3) slurpees.

You can't survive summer heat without slurpees.

    My overly happy baby girl!

I almost got one on the way into work this morning.  I love slurpees.
