wet vac rental

I need to rent a wet vac to clean carpets.

Where do you rent yours from? How much does it run you?

Thanks!

Re: wet vac rental

  • A wet vac or a carpet cleaner?
  • I am pretty sure a wet vac. I need something that is going to push fresh water into the carpet and padding then pull it out with all the gross things. ( I have a cat that until recently was making messes in a corner of my apartment)

  • Once upon a time several years ago, I rented one to clean an apartment H had just moved in to.  We got it from Home Depot, and I'm pretty sure it was only like $25 for the day.  It wasn't bad at all.

Thanks. I will give that a try!

  • Make sure you keep in mind that they don't usually clean the wet vacs in between uses at those places.  So you're likely going to get another person's dirt.  If it were me (and it won't be anymore, since we recently got a Bissell steamcleaner and I LOVE it), I'd do the first run or so in an area that didn't matter to me as much, or maybe on some carpet scraps or an area rug you're considering throwing away. We did ours with a rental a while back and while it sucked up a LOT of dirt (two cats and lots of shedding), the fact that it was immediately rented by someone else right after we returned it kinda grossed me out.
