This is so dumb, but do you lose out on anything by beginning a registry online? I haven't even started registering yet but sort of want to start online if I can, but I know BRU and BBB give you coupons when you open one. Do you still get those?
Re: Baby Registry Question
Yes, I did exactly that. I started it online because I didn't want to deal with the whole BRU song and dance.
When I went into the store, they gave me a welcome kit. It includes some coupons and a ginormous, ridiculous list of all the things you "need" to put on your registry

I started my BRU online and then when I went to the store they told me because I had already started the registry I wasn't eligible for the welcome pack unless I wanted to register in the store. They told me they could pull up my online one and just change it to show that I had registered at the store and in the meantime the girl ended up deleting my registry by accident which already had like 25 things on it and the whole thing was such a mess.
I think I just had an idiot at the store helping me, but I wanted to throw that story out there because I was so mad when it happened. I did get a stack of coupons out the deal though.
Yup, me too... I started it online and went to the store and they gave me the welcome kit. Which location are you planning on going to? this directly contradicts the other PP's experience (forget who said it, sorry!) but my BRU lady actually said she personally prefers when people start it online because it's less work for her because the account is already created.
Awesome so I will probably just start online and if they give me any trouble, just cry in the store or something
The closest BRU to me is the one in Horsham. Buy Buy Baby I want to actually make the trip to Cherry Hill to see the store but will still probably start online.
I'm sure if you cry in the store, they'll hook you up with a welcome bag
I went to the one in Springfield.

We did all of our registry online...those stores stress me out, and I got better advice from you girls than the salespeople. Although, BuyBuyBaby was good for helping choose a stroller and carseats.
She's definitely good. I made the mistake my first time there of asking a young guy about strollers. He couldn't even figure out how to fold a stroller I was looking at. I wonder if he wandered away from the back room...or maybe Gamestop.
bathtubs. I hate ours. research yours.
