wait, prop 2 passed?
It's not that I thought it wouldn't. ?It's just pretty disgusting that a majority of voters thought chickens deserve better living conditions but that gays aren't deserving of their civil rights. ?It's hard not to come to the conclusion that some people apparently think that chickens are more important than gays.

Yep, it passed. With a very strong majority. I am thrilled it passed as I spent quite a bit of time with people working for the HSUS (when they were trying to get it on the ballot) at adoption events I volunteered at. It is a very good bill and a good stepping stone to even moer agressive reform.
On the other hand, I cant believe CA voters worry about chickens moer than gay people.
I know! What the hell is wrong with people?!?

Prop 4 failed too. It is amazing to me that people rank gay rights lower than chickens and abortion.
