Dinner suggestion in downtown San Jose?
Anyone have a rec for an "ethnic" (anything but American, steakhouse, etc) in downtown San Jose? If its near the Mariott even better since the person we are meeting is staying there and does not have a car.

Habana Cuba and House of Siam are good
To be honest, there are almost no restaurants in DT SJ and the ones that are there are struggling (including the one or two chains like PF Changs). DT food scenes are dying, so it is slim pickings.

Thanks, I was checking out House of Siam on yelp. You are right.. it seems like the food scene is dying. I might just go to a more familiar location and pick up the person I am meeting.

There's also an Ethiopian place on W. San Carlos and Josefa that's pretty good. It's called Mudai.
