My cute new nude pumps hurt my feet

I probably shouldn't have worn new shoes on the hottest freaking day ever but my feet hurt to high heaven. OUCH. Blisters on my toes, along the ankle (they're slingbacks), and just general achiness. Looks like I'll be wearing flats tomorrow.

Re: My cute new nude pumps hurt my feet

  • Sorry to hear that.  It's not fun to wear new shoes when they kill your feet!

Whenever I wear new shoes, I use this:  http://www.drugstore.com/band-aid-active-friction-block-stick/qxp163404.  Since I won't be sure where the shoes will rub, I usually put it on the backs of my heels and the top/sides of my toes.  Works like a charm!

It works so well I now keep one in my purse to use whenever I feel friction from any of my shoes.

  • i don't ever wear new shoes without putting on the blister block that ghostgirl posted. i have insanely sensitive, easily blistering feet. i also tend to wear shoes only at work/at home so i can return them without issue if they turn out to be flesh eaters. even a pair of mephistos gave me four blisters within 20 minutes.

  • Sorry bout the sore feet. But at least you're one cute chick sitting down!
  • I will have to try that blister stick - thanks! I made it home and am resting my feet now.

  • I have nothing to add to the conversation except that DH saw the title of the post from over my shoulder as I was browsing the board and said, "What's that about nude paintings??!!??"  Silly DHs.

  • I use the stick too.  If there's a spot or two on the pair that consistently rubs, moleskin or little foam pads can help too.

  • hate it when that happens! i will have to try the blister stick, too.
  • New shoes always give my feet blisters. But after the 2nd or 3rd wear. My feet get used to them and voila no more blisters!
