Housecleaner: who supplies the chems?

I have a house cleaner coming tomorrow that was recommended to me and although I'm excited to get this started, I'm pretty new and lost!  She asked if she should bring chemicals or if I'm going to have them but I'm not sure what that answer would be.  If she doesn't use the chems we have than I don't think we will if she's coming now, and she's used to using the home owners chemicals at her other residences.  I've talked to others who have house cleaners, though, and most say the house cleaner brings their own stuff.
It's only once every 2 weeks...should I keep the chems stalked, or should she bring her own? If she brings her own, should I pay her a little more? Thanks!!

Re: Housecleaner: who supplies the chems?

  • We supplied the cleaning products to our house cleaner. There were certain products we wanted her to use that were more natural based. We also have a steam mop and hand steamer that we had her use so that there would be less chem products.
  • Our housecleaner uses all our stuff.  I have specific cleaners for the different surfaces in the house.
  • We have one starting next week and she will be using our products.
  • Thank you ladies!! That's what I'm doing today for her first visit and I think I will be the rest of the time.  I feel like this has been really easy, too, for her to just come and everything is here in one location.
  • I worked for a housekeeping service back in college and the company I worked for supplied the cleaning products unless you wanted us to use something specific. We had one client whose children had allergies, so we used their fancy vacuum cleaner and their bathroom chemicals.
