Newbie Question: What to wear?
Hello All! I've been posting here and there on the "Buying a Home" board, but I have an interview on Thursday and I'm hoping for a little attire-related advice....
I'm a teacher applying for a change of position within the school district, so the people that I'll be sitting down with for this interview are all people I know to some degree. I'm on a first name basis with everyone.
Secondly, it's forecast to be about 96 degrees out on Thursday.
What should I wear? More specifically, do I have to wear a suit jacket? I hate those things, they make me look like a box and it's going to be hot as hell anyway.
Re: Newbie Question: What to wear?
Whether or not you know the people has no bearing on what you should wear.
Wear a suit. A skirt suit is fine. With a short-sleeved jacket is fine. I have a lovely ont from Ann Taylor Loft that's a great interview option. It's all in the fit and tailoring.

Thanks for the advice! I ended up with a nice pair of gray slacks and a black suit jacket.
One of my interviewers was wearing a Hawiian shirt though. He's a principal! Made me feel a little overdressed, but whatever. I think it went ok!
