A little spotting scare

I had my 12 week appointment on Tuesday. We couldn't find the hb with the Doppler- which wasn't a surprise since my uterus is tilted. So we had an us and all is good. I go to the bathroom last night and had a tiny bit of pink spotting. Of course I freaked myself out all night. Called my midwife today and the brought me in to check things out. I was panicked but thankfully peanut is still looking awesome- had it's little arms covering it's face when we peeked. Being pregnant can be so scary sometimes.

Re: A little spotting scare

  • Spotting is the worst!  I had it on and off, from brown to red, from weeks 6-14 and it never got easier to see.  Try not to panic!!! Smile

(Totally unrelated rant: Why do we have smilies for a broken heart, wilted flower, rainclouds, and lightning clouds, but no happy opposites! I try to be positive with my emoticons here people- are we so negative we only need the icky ones! Kristy, for the record, I wanted to give you a heart.)

  • That is scary!  Peanut - I'm glad you are doing well but please don't scare your mom like that!
  • I know what you mean. I had a lot of spotting during my pregnancy. I never really stopped worrying until we made it to full-term!

  • That would scare me too!  My friend spotted a lot, and her baby is cuter than cute.  So maybe it helps with the cuteness factor.

I had one scare but it turned out to be hemorrhoids. I'm sorry you had to deal with that, so not something anyone should have to deal with!

But Kristy's tummy, you can have as many as you want!  Stick out tongue

  • I'm glad everything is okay!! Aww, tiny baby arms. So cool! :)

Daniele, you made me think of Swiper (Dora the Explorer's nemesis). Peanut, no scaring! If you say it 3 times, the little peanut has no choice but to listen.

  • I'm glad everything turned out to be OK! The positive to this is that you at least got to see your baby! :)

  • I had some spotting with Eli too and it is so scary, even though pretty common. Glad you got to have it checked out and know everything is okay. Peanut is already giving you a run for your money!
