So how are the b-day plans going?
I have officially became the weather stalker and I have my fingers crossed but so far the weather next weekend is looking pretty perfect!!! (i hope I didn't jinx it:)) I am still very stressed about bad weather because we don't have a back up plan and we have almost 60 people coming to the park for her party!
So far I have a good plan of everything that needs to be done, just need to make a very detailed list of everything that I need to do and get. I decided to make cupcakes and make her smash cake myself, it will be interesting to see how that turns out because I am not the best baker:)
Re: *Babya2010*
The plans are going well! To be honest, I haven't even checked the weather so I'm glad you updated me! We also don't have a back up plan and are having around the same # of people. We rented the pavilion which will help if it rains I guess (I'm hoping a little rain is the worst that will happen!)
I feel like I need to make a list as well. I was at Sam's Club the other day thinking, "Oh yeah I need plates, napkins, plasticware, cups, etc." yet I didn't buy them.
I ordered the (big) cake from Costco and am contemplating making their smash cakes as well. I can't seem to justify them demolishing two cakes that are $5-$10 each. I'm so cheap. LOL.
When is her actual birthday?
I may have jinxed us, the weather has already changed to scattered t-storms.. I am going to stop checking until Monday:)
We rented a pavilion too, but I went with a small one (because it was cheaper), and now I am going to call and see if the big is available just in case..
I am very cheap too, that why I decided to just make the cupcakes/smash cake, I figured I probably could do it for cheaper then buying them. Plus we are going to have alot of kid at least 17 under the age of 9 so cupcakes will be easier...
Her birthday is the 18th, how about your little ones?
Their birthday is the 24th. I booked the pavilion back in February and believe it or not, 6/18 was the only date that was still available all summer (for that particular pavilion).
Are you doing goody bags for the kids under 9? That's one thing I've yet to decide on. I'm the queen of procrastination.
Morgan's due date was the 24th!
It's crazy how fast they fill up, the original park I wanted wasn't available at all for the month of June when we called.. I would have never guessed parks are that popular.
I am doing sand pails for all of the kids, at Michael's they had really nice ones for a $1 each. I got small squirt guns for all of the kids at Target's $1 bins, the boys are getting a small sports ball from Target's $1 bins and I think I am going to do jump ropes for the girls again from Targets $1 bins. There are 2 little ones that are going to be 1 so I might just pick up some puffs and put a container in their pails.
Originally I only planned on doing a pinata, which we are still going to do, but I have been to 3 other 1st B-day parties this year and all of them had had goodie bags for the kids so I kinda felt like I had to do something.
