Spicy Friday

This isn't directly about sex, but it is somewhat related:

Now that we've all been married for going on two years (!), have you changed your grooming habits down there at all?  Has your H?  What's your preferred "hairstyle"?

Re: Spicy Friday

  • I still keep things in check down there.  The one thing I've changed is that I used to shave everything, but H told me a year or so ago that he actually prefers a landing strip so now I do that, but it is short and barely there. Even if I wasn't in a relationship, though, I'd still keep it shaved.  I just prefer it for myself.

H has always tended to be sporadic with trimming, and still is. (I do like it trimmed better, though.)

  • Nothing has really changed for us. I've had the short, barely-there landing strip for years now. Kyle generally keeps himself pretty well groomed, which I agree is definitely preferred for me.
  • Nothing has really changed. I'm an empty lawn kinda girl. It's easier for me to keep up. Dh still keeps up with his manscaping. So life is good.

  • Nothing has really changed for us either. I'm a thin landing strip and he keeps himself pretty well groomed.

  • Nothing's changed. I still shave down to barely there, and I do like to get the occasional Brazilian before beach trips. I sometimes use Sally Hansen's Brazilian wax kit at home--as crazy as it sounds to DIY it, the stuff works.

H has kept up with the trimming, which I definitely appreciate.

Omg, really??  I like to go to the spa for a Brazilian now and then, but I really cannot fathom doing it to myself! Is it more painful?  Is it difficult?  Are you able to get everywhere??

Hah, no, definitely not everywhere. I end up with a small landing strip because no way, I'll leave *that* to the pros. But it's actually not as painful as I thought it would be. I was skeptical b/c it doesn't have strips (the wax cools enough and you're able to grip and pull), but it worked since I couldn't go to the salon before our Cancun trip.

  • Up until a few weeks ago, I've always kept it totally shaved. I just prefer it for myself, whether DH cares or not. Now I can't see enough and it's driving me insane to not be able to stay groomed. I'd love to get a Brazilian done but I can't imagine that would go over well.

DH hasn't really ever trimmed, and I don't mind either way. He shaved once and it made for a hilarious yoga session with new noises and such with the skin to skin contact. We laughed so hard that he swore he'd never do that again.

  • I keep it neat and trimmed, but not so far as the landing strip.

Snoopy, I think plenty of pregnant women get Brazilians done for precisely that reason!  Go for it!  (Alternatively, do you trust your H enough to shave it for you?)

  • I go back and forth between brazillian and slightly grown out. It depends on how I feel. With everything going on down there it feels like a science project rather than a something I want to keep pretty.

  • I use to get brazillions religiously, however I can't seem to find a good waxer here :( I try to stay cleaned up, but I tend to let things go when DH is traveling and stuff.

Perhaps I should up my search for a waxer a little more and surprise him after his next trip.

I'm more nervous about how sensitive my skin is now. I'm sure it would hurt twice as bad at the moment. I still haven't even gotten my eyebrows done. Ugh. I do trust H, but I'm not sure he's keen on the idea.

  • I still keep things groomed below the belt. I'm an all or nothing type so it's always Brazilian for me. I'll admit I have slacked a little in recent months but it has more to do with being busy with home remodeling and work and my side job than with the amount of time we've been married. I don't let it get too wild though because then foreplay suffers (I don't like DH to go down on me if I'm not all cleared out down there) DH still trims which is appreciated.
