books are expensive! where is your favorite place to buy books?
i usually buy them off amazon but that really only works if i know the exact book i want since you can't flip through the pages.
do you have a favorite "body parts" book that you recommend?
Re: childrens books
I don't have a fav body parts book but you have to pick up "Poke a Dot old Mc Donald's Farm" Or Poke a Dot 10 little monkeys. It keeps Ana busy forever. You can pop the dots on each page.
I like to find books at TJ Maxx or half price books.
I've had good luck building my classroom libraries at half-price books and the planned parenthood book sale.
Also, if you know any teacher's who do scholastic book orders they typically have some very reasonably priced books and you don't pay for shipping.
If you wanted I would be happy to open an order (I can close it without any purchases) and send you a link so you can look at some of the options. It changes monthly.
Most of Nicholas' books came from the $1 bins at Target. They usually have one or two "collections" of four different books every time the season changes. Nicholas was a book destroyer, but for some reason he's left his $1 shaped Sesame Street books alone and they are also his favorites to read.
I also recommend Scholastic. When my sister was a teacher I'd order books through her all the time to give to other kids. Of course, now that I have a kid of my own, she's quit teaching.
I would be happy to open an order for anyone if interested. You get cheap books, and I get points for free books. Win/Win!
