Re: AW/Vent/Confessions
Not sure if this is really an AW but we've been talking about adoption since November and finally made the decision this week to pursue foster-to-adopt. Our goal is to turn in our application is Sept. 1!
Vent - What is up with this weather? 50's and 60's on a summer day is not cool.
My confession is better left to myself. You never know who reads these boards.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
AW - It's my first official week of summer vacation. Plus we leave for our road trip in 6 days!
Vent - Not a big one - just that it takes a bloody week to get dry cleaning done in a small town. Also, I have just a slight case of the summer sniffles, and today is designated hack up a lung day.
Confessions - I am being a complete and utter slackass today.
AW: I am half way through my pregnancy! Time sure does fly.
Vent: I helped plan my 10 year reunion and it was such a hassle getting people to pay and RSVP that I don't even feel like going tomorrow.
Confession: I am addicted to damnyouautocorrect.com, I sat at my desk today laughing hysterically at some of the texts!
AW: I did an ultrasound on myself at work today. I was getting freaked out that I hadn't felt any movement yet (felt movement with Ellie at 15 weeks). It was cool to see s/he bouncing around in there.
Confession: My MIL fell asleep next to me on the couch and now has her feet in my lap and I have to say this is a bit awkward.
Vent: I have 2.
DH had M-W off this week. He was told "oh, this week is slow". Wednesday night his boss called DH and told him he was broke and closing his business effective immediatly. This unemployment roller coaster is so frustrating. It took him 2 years on unemployment to find a job in his field for it to only last 5 months. We are both a bit discourged right now.
I had to deal with a (ex)client today who infuriates me so badly and the situation they put their pet in is so sad. The whole situation has had me pissed off for hours.

Confession: I just spent a ridiculous amount of $$ on a nice shirt and tie for DH so he could look dazzling for an interview next week. He's had a million interviews lately and no offers. We're getting really frustrated so I'm trying to perk him up. He liked the shirt, but let's just say that I'm hiding the receipt for a reason.
Vent: I'm fed up with my own job and I'm trying to get back into my old line of work. I can't take the insanity of upper management at my company anymore. I'd rather go back to work for attorneys. At least when they BS me, they own it. But they pay better. LOL!
AW: My little girls are going to be 6 months old next week!!!! EEEEEK!!!! Checkup on Monday, but the Wii Fit Baby Stats said they are 13 and 16 lbs. That's a long way from 2 and 3 lbs! These kids are growing way too fast for me.I am so amused by this. I'm glad baby is doing well.
AW: School's out!
Vent: I have no idea what is happening with my school job. My boss asked me yesterday if I would come in sometime in the next month so he can do a review. WTH? It should have have been done at the end of my 90 day probation period. I even asked for it! They said nothing to me about next school year, and my last day was yesterday. The director of the school didn't say a word to my yesterday. I just want the drama to end.
Confession: I have taken a two week break from the couch to 5k program. I am sure that getting back into to it is going to kick my butt.
I'm late to the party, but I have lots of vents.
1. My computer died this week. (This would be why I'm late to the party)
2. Friday was my last day of school. I was so sick on Thursday I stayed home ON THE SECOND TO LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. Ridiculous. I went to the school nurse on Friday, she told me to home, I compromised and said I'd go to minute clinic (because who wants to miss the last day of school?) At minute clinic I was diagnosed with strep and an ear infection in both ears. So uncomfortable, and hungry for something other than jello.
3. Monday is teacher workshop day and then I will officially be unemployed, AGAIN. I am not ready for another summer of job hunting, and I think I may just not look for a job and sub in the fall. I can't take 200+ applications again this summer.
AW: I actually biked on Thursday which was bike to work day. I also took it a step further and went biking with a co-worker during lunch. I put in 12 miles. Not bad, and I can add it to my Lazy Man tri amount that I am doing at the Y.
Vent: I really wish DH would pick up his clothes!! It has really been driving me crazy this week. I do all of the laundry (which I don't mind since I don't want him washing my stuff) but seriously, could you at least put it in the laundry basket or hang up the clean stuff!
Confession: I got a facial on Friday (my day off) and didn't tell DH. Good thing I didn't pay for it (as it was part of a birthday present from my mom) but I did have to drive a ways to the spa which is in my hometown and stopped by to see my mom for lunch.
