Appetizer ideas?

Going to a party tomorrow - any ideas for good apps?

Re: Appetizer ideas?

  • I need to add a bunch more when I get a chance, but I have quite a few in my blog.
  • My latest favourite is wicked easy:

Goat/chevre cheese, formed into balls then coated in chopped pecans mixed with a little cinnamon. You can keep them in ball form or press them into thick coin shapes. Then you sprinkle them with fresh rosemary and drizzle them with honey... Sooooo good! Especially in the heat!

  • I'm on a caprese salad kick, lately...

something a little more "fancy" - figs or dates stuffed with blueberry chevre, wrapped with prosciutto and drizzled with honey, balsamic reduction or port reduction, depending on what you have on hand

I was going to suggest caprese salad too...easy and perfect for this nice weather.  Serve it with some sliced baguette on the side, and then it's easy to eat.

  • Crackers topped with cream cheese, cucumber slice and a bit of lemon pepper.

     Fruit salsa with cinnamon chips.

Both are really good warm weather starters!
