moms to be - pacifiers

The ones we have Felicity isn't a fan of, she's just not a big paci baby (which I'm glad about). Any one want me to mail them a couple? So you can see if your LO likes the brand? The majority of the ones we got at our shower are gumdrops - the other ones.. I dunno what they are.

If you're interested let me know...  If not we're going to donate them, but I figured I'd offer them here first, just in case.

My overly happy baby girl!

  • Xander didn't become a pacifier baby until he was about 10-11 months old. They helped him a lot with his teething.

  • C didn't really take a paci until about 4 or 5 months or so. he only likes the soothie brand. I think I tried two others that were supposed to be okay for breast fed babies.

  • The only one she'll actually suck on is Nuk. But after awhile she shoots it out. She wont have anything to do with the others we have. We only give it to her when she's obviously been comfort nursing for a while... and even then its not for long. I'd rather have her on the boob right now anyways, to help with supply. But yeah, Im getting rid of the ones she'll have absolutely nothing to do with.

  • lordy, I remember when I wanted nothing more than for him to take a paci. When he was comfort nursing or just fussing for fussing's sake - !!! He'd suck and then spit it out. I was torn, I didn't want him to be attached to want but I wanted some relief and quiet! lol.

lol, thats exactly where Im at right now. Sometimes I just want her off.. like when I need to pee, but hearing her cry breaks my heart. But I dont really want her attached to one either. So we'll probably only give it to her on extreme locations.

And shes attached to my boob as I type this... lol

  • Kiley took the paci for the first 4 weeks, she wanted nothing to do with it since then. Now she just uses them as toys.
  • maeven actually didnt take a pacifer until she was 1.  all babies are different. z only uses one when as she's falling asleep whether it be in her crib (where i keep like 5 of them so she can always reach for one) or in her carseat (where she falls asleep everytime she's in it).  we used to give her a nuk but now we use the avent because there isn't a top or bottom so when she sticks it in herself it's not upside down.

i also preferred her to take one in the beginning so she wouldn't use my boob as a pacifier.  she strictly only nurses when she's hungry and pulls right off so for me, it worked!
