dog urine smell out of a rug??
Does anyone have any home remedies for getting the smell of dog urine out of a rug that can only be professionally cleaned? I spot treated it with Woolite Pet Stain Remover, but it continues to have an odor. How can I get rid of it?

Ditto this. I don't buy the special carpet shampoo, but I do buy the Nature's Miracle Advanced, in the red bottle. **If you use it, make sure to use it full strength, do not dilute it.
It may take more than one application, and it can take up to two weeks to completely eliminate the odor. The enzymes take a bit of time to work.
I use a solution of half water, half white vinegar on pet accidents (keep it in a spray bottle) and it works just like the enzymatic cleansers for a fraction of the cost.
