So we "camped out" for the opening of Chipotle the other night and the media was all over it (because there is clearly not a lot more going on in this town). We were in the paper and there were a few different news crews there. According to the comments on the newspaper, some people were really fired up over how dumb it was to spend the night - I had no idea that anyone would care enough to even have an opinion on it, much less take the time to write about it.
This is likely the most famous I'll ever be, so check it out!

**Hayley and/or other newsies - is it common to be "live" somewhere but play old footage? This video just feels poorly put together to me but I don't know a lot about the news world...
Re: My 15 Minutes of Fame
1. i love that you camped out.
2. it's not uncommon to use file footage when the story needs it, like if you're telling a murder trial story and you use video from the crime scene, perp walk etc. that being said....yeahhhh, their "photojournalist" was just kinda lazy, because i saw several shots reused through the piece, and EVERYTHING was people paying or people eating. no creative shots of them cooking, no closer shots of people's orders...unless they shot it intending it to be a shorter piece, and then someone at the station made him do a nat package. but even then....not a lot of shot content.
