Any big plans for the weekend?

Anybody doing anything exciting this weekend?

My little sister is graduating high school tomorrow, so we're headed out to NH to witness this miracle (and it is nothing short of a miracle!).

Re: Any big plans for the weekend?

  • Congrats to your sister (and everyone who supported her along her journey :)). I'm so jealous you are headed to NH...and that you live in NE at all! I'm a VT native and I miss it so much, especially this time of year.

We are leaving Liam for the first time on a weekend day EVER to do a bar crawl with our neighbors tomorrow. It is a "going away" of sorts since we move in a few weeks and they want to send us off right. I'm a little nervous because a) I haven't had more than 1 beer or glass of wine in a day in over a year and b) BIL and FSIL are watching him for the first time...I know he'll be fine and we are just going to be down the street, but he can be a total pain in the butt if you don't know how to deal with him!

Other than that, lots and lots of packing to do. LOTS. Sigh...I hate moving!

  • I have to go baby shower shopping--this is my last chance since the shower is next Friday.  That's the extent of my weekend; I need to rest and possibly go to the doctor.  I'll spare you all the nasty details.
    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • Congrats to your sister, Krissie!
Have fun on your night out, Angela Drinks
And I hope things go well at the doctors, munkii.

We have a busy weekend coming up- a graduation party our friend's masters tonight, a housewarming BBQ at DH's friend's house tomorrow, and Sunday we are going out to dinner with the ILs for DH's birthday. I hope I have a little downtime for all the cleaning that I need to get done too!

  • As I write this, the floor guys are on the last two rooms...a day and a half late.  I have my neice, her husband and their 4 kids coming sometime today, but they haven't told me when.  The house is a wreck, the beds are in pieces, and most of my things are in the garage.  I have no idea how we are going to do this.  None.

I am hot, tired, and cranky...and will now slink away.

Oh...edit...and I REALLY need a drink, but if I start now, I won't stop til midnight!

My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!
  • Congrats to your sister, Krissie!

Tonight DH's firm is taking the whole office out to a baseball game, so we're going to go down, eat, schmooze, and enjoy a little baseball :)

I don't know what else we've got going on--probably purging some winter clothes and spending some time with my parents, since Dad hasn't seen my new ride yet.

  • None for us - We have a visitation to attend tonight for DH's uncle's father who passed away from pancreatic cancer early this week.  The rest of the weekend is just staying home doing home stuff.  We need to get gutters back on the house and organize our basement (read - get DH to get rid of all his bachelor pad crap).  LOL - fun times huh?
  • My bff is in town from Phoenix, yay!  Shooting a wedding tomorrow then my one week vacation starts and I am so glad....my husband will also be off for a week (exciting since he is usually home maybe 2 days a week).  Not going anywhere but just relaxing, taking in a cardinals game, going horseback riding, and hitting up some wineries, go to the movies in the middle of the day...fun stuff.

Now who can make this summer cold go away???

I have a cold too... I hope they both leave quickly!

Tonight I have rehearsal after work then I have some cleaning that desperately needs to be done. (Fun Friday!)

Tomorrow I get to sleep in because it's recital weekend so no teaching (YAY!).  Then I have a pilates date with BFF, a coffee date after that with another good friend, Israel packing, a birthday party and graduation party to pop into then I snagged a "secret shopper" gig at a fancy restaurant imy favorite beach town near us.  That's beyond perfect for a Saturday for me.  I'm so excited.

Sunday I have recital dress rehearsal all morning, will have a long break to work on figuring out parent volunteer roles for my current show, then have the recital in the evening.  Not a bad day but definitely a long one!

  • Negative. Probably will clean and play some World of Warcraft with DH.

I'm wide awake at 2 am...boo! I probably shouldn't have taken that nap earlier in the day...
