D&C scheduled...
tentatively for Monday at 7:30 (the doctor just needs to be sure the OR is available and they were closed by the time he called). This was finally settled after an hour and a half of me waiting around for my bloodwork to come back, because my doctor asked me to come right over after the draw. Clearly asking the miscarrying woman to hang out in the waiting room with the loud, happy, pregnant family is exactly what you should do to help her feel better about everything (ugh...my doctor is usually great, but this was a bit of a Really?!? moment).
I met with the doctor doing the procedure, and he was great...very thorough and realistic and seemed to have a good sense of humor, although he didn't seem to think it was funny when he asked if I smoked and I said, "No, I don't smoke and obviously haven't been drinking, but think I need to take drinking up again now"...but I tend to deal with sadness with inappropriate humor, so what can you do?

I'm the same way with the inappropriate humor. My sister and I were so bad at the funeral home arranging for my dad's cremation that I thought we were going to get asked to leave.

I'm sorry honey.Rest up and we're here for you. When you go for your check up after the D&C ask to be placed in a room right away. I found that that helped me.
