I am constantly dusting as I go. I like to keep things picked up as I go and just clean a little here and there as I see it needs to be done. That way I'm never bogged down spending an entire day cleaning instead of having family time.
But it seems like I'm constantly dusting and wiping up dog hair. We have a wiry haired little terrier mutt, and she sheds constantly. We keep her shaved most of the time, but as it gets close to time for another shave, I just find hair everywhere! I love animals, worked at an animal shelter and vet for years, but I have always hated hair. It just makes me feel like I'm not doing a good enough job keeping this place clean. I think I'm the only one who sees it, though, because I have asked friends and family if they notice it, and they all think I'm crazy for obsessing over something they don't even notice.
Anyway, to make a long story short, does anyone have an tips to keeping the hair under control? Even the Swiffer doesn't do it. I have found that dryer sheets actually seem to work better than a cloth when dusting furniture or window sills or counters. But then I always go over it with a good smelling wipe down. We have hard floors everywhere except the bedrooms, so the vacuum doesn't do it either. The couch and chairs all stay clean because I wipe them down at least once a day if not more often, and the area rug in the living room is hair free from daily vacuuming. But I still feel this is not enough. I can almost see the hair floating and settling somewhere else as I dust off one area.
