Such a relaxing Sunday!

I've spent most the afternoon relaxing and reading a book on my back porch. The weather here is GORGEOUS. It's been very hot (upper 90's) and humid lately. Today, there is no humidity, and it's like 70 out.

It's been so relaxing - which I needed! I'm going to a literacy training this week for my new position, and it's going to be a loooooong week!!

Re: Such a relaxing Sunday!

  • It was really nice out today, which was great after the last week! Early last week we had 96 + temps, and the end of the week was cold and stormy.  B worked this morning, and when he got home we went to walk around the outdoor mall, got lunch and went grocery shopping.  I'm catching up on my DVR shows tonight while he plays a computer game with his friends. I'm even more relaxed since I'm off tomorrow.

  • I was pretty much a bum today too and it felt so nice!  I went food shopping, cooked a yummy dinner, and did some laundry.  I also sat and watched tv, played on the computer and read.  I needed a day like today because it is going to be a busy week.  It is the last week of school and I need to start cleaning out my classroom because I am moving to a new school next year.

  • I'm loving weekend mornings now that I don't have to go into work to do disgusting things super early anymore (can't believe it's been nearly a year since I left that job!)

Today I got up earlier than DH,  made tea, read for a while,  he mowed the lawn, I went to a garden center and then we went to church.   Then came home and we both worked in the yard some more. I went back to Home Depot for the thousandth time this month.  I planted lots of flowers in front!!   We have a window box in front of one of the front windows, and I planted half a dozen Gerbera daisies of various colors.  It looks so cute!   The other flowers will take a few weeks to fill into their spaces. I also finished painting my craigslist find.  I am so ready to crash!!  I'll take pictures once we put it in the bathroom!
