Corner Closets

DH and I are moving into an apartment and the bedrooms have corner closets. Anyone have suggestions on how to best utilize the space? We are going to mainly be using a standalone closet system but we'd like to be able to still get some use out of the closets.

There are hooks along the back and then the bar goes across the front...so it's basically a triangle closet.

Suggestions??

Re: Corner Closets

  • If the closet it is deep enough I would put some shelves up behind the bar  in the point of the triangle and store off season stuff back there.  Also lesser used items like guest linens, purses, ect.

  • My friend has this, she had chipboard/plywood cut into squares, and then cut across the diagonal, making triangular shelves to fit her closet.  Home improvement stores will cut your wood for free if you just give them the measurements.
