Anyone travel to New England?
We're taking a trip to Maine this summer to visit some friends. It'll be our first family trip. We're going to drive, and we've got 12-days to play with, but probably more like 8 or 9, since we'll be on the road.
I'm early in the research stage for cities to visit, things to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Boston is a sure stop. I was wondering about Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Cape Cod. I'd like to see at least one of these places, does anyone have an opinion on them?
We've gotten some pretty good suggestions for things to do in Maine, but looking for any input you ladies may have as well.

I have not been there, but it sounds like a very fun trip.
We love Maine. Got engaged there so Acadia is a must stop. We also loved the Bar Harbor area. Boston is awesome and we did the trail along the city. Walked every square inch of it. Their Chinatown is awesome so get some Dim Sum there and a canoli in the Italian village area. We love cape cod and went up to P-town which is awesome but you should be accepting of different lifestyles if you go there. The town is quaint. I could take or leave Martha's Vineyard.

We're looking into family friendly things to do. Zoos, aqariums, parks, beaches, touristy towns to stroll through, shopping, etc. Great places to eat would be a bonus too. Thanks!!
