Re: what are you looking forward to this week?

  • I'm looking forward to seeing the drywall done in the kitchen/hall/closet! That means cabinets aren't far behind :)

They should be able to get paint off your ring. I accidentally coated mine in thick black ink at work one time and they got that off no problem.

PS: I love your new sig pic.

  • I don't want to jinx it but I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing the Bruins win the Stanley Cup ! As much as I really really want them to win, I have a bad feeling though.

I'm hoping that we can get someone in our place to check out our central air unit before it gets hot again. I honestly don't think I can deal with another hot day w/o AC (and esp. so with being pregnant).

  • I hope so Michelle. We have been using water-based paint for everything and I've been helping Andy clean out the pans/brushes. Yesterday we used this stuff called Killz on the floor. You put it on before you lay carpet to seal in stains, mold, smells, etc from getting in the new carpet/carpet pad. He asked me to clean the pan and didnt realize it was oil based, not water. I stuck my hand right in and swished it around and it got paint ALL over my ring/diamonds. I used some Dawn on my hands and the ring, but I cant get it out of the crevices.

Thanks :) Its courtesy of Mary. She said it was perfect for me, and I agree.

Wednesday - Annual trip to the Hilltop Steakhouse for Big M's Father's Day dinner

  • Honestly, I'm looking forward to the whole Stanley Cup finals being over and done with.  I don't care who wins, I just want it to stop clogging up my Facebook NewsFeed every time a GD game is on! >_<

  • Tuesday I get my 6 week cast on.  I am hoping it will be less restrictive and less painful.

Thursday some friends are taking me out.

Saturday I am going to a pet health fair run by my vet's office.  They were good to us when our kitty was sick and then passed away.

Sunday we are having a father's day BBQ.

MB, I am so with you.  Don't get me wrong as a Bostonian I will be happy if they win. I have a friend who is a Habs fan and anti-Bruins, and can't wait for the banter and taunting to be over.

  • let's see...

Work is pretty much normal this week...

Saturday we're going to Wingfest. It's an annual contest where all the area wing restaurants come together, and for $5 you can taste all their wings and vote on whose is the best. The money goes to charity. Should be fun!

Sunday is Father's Day of course, so we'll probably take guy out to breakfast and then he wants to go see Super 8 by himself.

  • This week is actually pretty busy:

Today has continued the sh!tstorm that has been life for the past week or so, basically I'm looking forward to it being over!

Tuesday having wine night with my bestie from high school and my little niece Lanie who always brightens up my day.

Wednesday we're going to meet a friends new baby, Ella, for the first time and have dinner with them.

Thursday/Friday: one evening will be cleaning and the other our bff's will likely be coming over for dinner

Saturday we've got that housewarming/birthday party

Sunday: a little up in the air since we're trying to figure out a way to see my stepdad and Jay's dad even though they're in different states. We might drag FIL up to Lake Geneva, WI (which is where my stepdad is) for the day to grill out and go for a ride on the boat.

  • BEACH!!! We're heading down on Saturday to my favorite place in the world. AND because I'm still out of work, we're spending the entire week there!

I have no idea what else is going on this week, it doesn't matter because beach!!

And I'm making strawberry jam today.

  • My mom is supposed to be out by the 15th, then I'm cleaning the house like crazy because I have friends coming to stay the week starting on sunday!
  • I'm looking forward to returning to some sense of normalcy - last week was pure chaos.  I want to clean up messes at work, and have NO plans for this weekend except getting some things done around the house and relaxing.

I may have my first party this Thursday, definitely looking forward to that!
