A cough- Tell me the differences again

El developed a nice cough this past weekend, we think it's part allergy and partly from going from the outside to inside A/C.

Her cough sounds wet and she, as hubs puts it, chews it backdown. Is this one I should be worried about? I did find some non medicated cough syrup, and I'm not 100%sure it's helping. Any thoughts, I'll glady accept!

I forgot to add, she feels warm, but no fever, I took it last night it was (under arm) 99.6.

Re: A cough- Tell me the differences again

  • K has the same thing.  It comes and goes it seems about every 3-4 weeks, so I am not sure if it is a cold, or allergies.  I have always been told, that if it sounds mucusy (sp?) not to worry, it is when it is dry, or the chest rattles to be more concerned.  Usually with the mucusy one, the doc tells us to run the humidifier (or the shower, then to cool air outside-that works even better), prop up the crib and give it time.

    GL!
