Good Morning

So I had a dream that I was nesting last night, when I woke up and checked the board and none of the conversations I had were on here I was really confused.

Sad Panda :(

What kinds of things were you talking about?  I find that funny, dreaming about the board.

Wine on bikes was a lot of fun.  We only got about 3-4 oz of wine at each winery (3 wineries total) so there was no drunken biking, just some happy, slightly buzzed biking.  We stopped at a 4th winery on the way back to the hotel and Derek and I bought a case of wine.  They're selling off all of their '06 bottles, so a $20+ bottle was going for less than $10.  Score.

Saturday night we had an absolute blast.  Though I discovered that Derek and I are way too cheap to have fun at a casino.  My stepsisters bf won $800 over the course of the night (and lost a good bit too) so after we made him pay for drinks and food for the night, we was probably up at least $300.

Yesterday was not fun.  I was sickly hungover all day.  I crawled right into bed when we got home and didn't get up until 4pm.  Damn you wine (and beer, and vodka) hangovers!  I'm too old for this.

  • That's funny, MO.  Any conversations you would like us to recreate?

We had a wet weekend, and I'm bummed that the tennis final I was supposed to see yesterday was cancelled.  Instead, we ended up waiting around for a good portion of the afternoon while they decided whether they would cancel it.  Boo.

Just a typical Monday today.  But at least a lot of people are heading out to a conference this afternoon, so hope that means I'll be able to duck away early.

  • lol, that sucks MO. I think you should go ahead and start said conversations.

We got a lot accomplished around the house this weekend. We hung wall cabinets in each of our upstairs bathrooms so I was finally able to put away some bathroom stuff that's just been sitting around in boxes since we moved. It's kinda funny because they look a little crooked but we checked it with a level and they're supposed to be straight... so we've just come to the conclusion that the bathrooms themselves are crooked. Tongue Tied

  • Raynes- That sounds like tons of fun, and I agree with you on the casino part. DH and I went with some friends to a casino about a year ago and we quickly realized it was not for us.

    Ringy-I love your pictures.

I am back at work today and not sure if I am happy about it or sad. I would much rather be at home sleeping, but even if I was at home I wouldn't be sleeping. Preston is miserable so he is super fussy. He goes back to the doctor this afternoon and fingers crossed he gets the cathedar (sp?) out. I am praying he can go back to daycare tomorrow.

  • That's funny, MO.

I had a grumpy kind of Saturday.  I was really tired all day and pretty much everything pissed me off until about 6:00 that evening.  Then we went out to (finally) run the errands that needed to be done and went to play pool, which we hadn't done in a long time.

Sunday we skipped church, slept late, and cleaned house a bit.  Then we went letterboxing in the afternoon.  We were two for two yesterday, so a very successful hunting day.  I made a delicious blueberry-pineapple dessert to take to dinner.

Today, the boss is out, which is always nice.  I have to do payroll and create a timeline for this event in October, then a bunch of other little things on the to-do list.  It's finally cooled off here a bit and is really pleasant outside today.

  • Funny MO, have to love Nestie dreams.

Raynes, it sounds like it was a great time!

Ringy - I also love the new siggy.

My weekend was ok. Friday night we had dinner with friends, which overall was nice.

Saturday, was a lazy day, and DH let me take a nap for the afternoon, and woke me up to dinner ready.

Yesterday was cleaning and laundry. Our computer still isn't fixed but the guy is coming today to hopefully finish fixing it. So I plan on ordering invitations finally. Otherwise, its a busy day at work.

  • Good morning!  I had a great weekend, and it seemed extra long because H was home from Thursday - Saturday morning, so by the time he left, it felt like I'd already had my weekend!  Unfortunately, the weekend involved a LOT of eating out and I'm feeling it this morning.

Thursday H met me after work and we walked over to a lovely restaurant for dinner then saw the Hangover II (which was funny but basically a carbon-copy of the original.)  Friday we went with friends to this new sexy tequila cantina on the waterfront and it was fantastic.  The menus were all iPads and the food was great, but they don't take reservations and we had to wait two hours.  It was still fun!  Saturday I went to Bikram with a girlfriend and then we went out to this little Mexican place in my neighborhood for dinner.  Sunday I read a bunch of my next book club book, went to the gym, and hit up CostCo.

Anyway, hope everyone had a great weekend and has a nice Monday!

  • ringy, love your siggy pic!

Morning, all. Weekend was okay--Friday I finally got a call from HR. Let's just say that HR was really apologetic, knows they shot the time frame to hell by slow-playing me, and seems to understand my concerns now that we've reached a certain date without a letter. We'll see what happens this week.

That night, the husband and I hit Gordon Biersch, had a great dinner together and I got some Maibock beer before they switched over to their new seasonal brew (which I also love). Before that, we hit the store to buy the H some new dress shirts for work. Saturday was shoe shopping day for H (which he hated, but hey, he needed them), and I also managed to get in a good weight workout. I spent yesterday reading the last half of Harry Potter 7 to prep for the movie in July.

Today should be quiet. Have a great one, ladies!

  • Th weekend was good. Friday night I went out for happy hour after work. I met up with some friends who I hadn't seen in awhile so we definitely had a good time. Saturday we went to the farmer's market. The weather was perfect, so even though sales were down it was great to be sitting outside all day. Kyle's grandma was in town so we went out to dinner with his family on Saturday night and then they all came back to our house to play cards. Yesterday Kyle and I cleaned and worked on the yard most of the day. Then we grilled out and watched the Mav's win last night. All in all a great weekend.

Back to work today, and I'm thinking that I might have caught Kyle's cold. I really wish that I could have stayed in bed this morning. Oh well. I'm having lunch with a friend today so that should be a good time.

  • Our weekend was pretty good. We both caught up on sleep.

Friday night we had friends over with their new puppy. It was super funny, since one of ours was ecstatic that he had a new friend to play with, even one that was 1/16th his size. Saturday was a big work party for DH, and he got super drunk. I wasn't so annoyed with carting home a puking child with me. I was super pissed that he reached for the keys when we were leaving. Ummm no no DH. You are officially cut off from drinking away from home for a while. Sunday I got my nap time in for a few hours with my pooch before heading off to baby class last night. Last night was teaching the coaches relaxation techniques, so I got a good massage out of the deal.

Today is typical Monday. Now that it's quiet, my boss seems to have not a whole lot better to do than freak out about weird things that don't really matter right now. Not to mention, it's mostly stuff that's been brought to her attention before that she just didn't want to deal with.

  • Morning everyone.  My weekend was good.  It was the first weekend in a few that I didn't work the entire weekend.  Friday night after work, I stopped by a friend's house to hang out with her and her 3 week old baby for a bit before heading home for dinner and a movie with B.  Saturday morning, we ran some errands, and met my mom for lunch.  Then I went home and napped before heading to an engagement party.  Yesterday, was work and doing some things around the house.

I'm hopeful this week won't be as crazy busy as the last few, but I have a feeling it's going to stay nuts until the end of the month.

Hope everyone has a great day.

  • Good morning, my weekend was ok - nothing fabulous!

Friday night we stayed home and ordered in some Chinese food. Saturday morning I went to the parade for my bosses DA campaign. DH went to a car show with some of his friends so when I got home a clean house and watched a movie. Sunday we went to the IL's house for a cookout. All in all kind of a blah weekend.

It's so funny you said this...we went through the exact same thing yesterday when tried to hang a shelf in our bathroom. It looked crooked when the level said it was straight, and when I put on the level on various items in the bathroom, they were not level.

We had a busy weekend. My brother arrived Friday night, and DH and I took him downtown for some drinks. Saturday we had our housewarming BBQ, which was a lot of fun. Yesterday DH and I ran some errands, and then I went to a "Slumber Party", which was really a sex toy type presentation. I actually had a pretty good time, and actually ordered a little suprise for DH.

On an unrelated note, I switched from regular to half regular/half decaf coffee to prepare for giving it up completely. I am a miserable mess, and have a splitting headache.

  • Good morning! My weekend was not a weekend at all unfortunately. We have a co-worker out and so I worked extra hours to compensate and since I had to ask off this Friday and Saturday for an out-of-town wedding I'm not allowed a day off during the week. This means I'm working a 9-day stretch. Gotta love retail! DH and I did wake up early Saturday to go to some community yard sales and I discovered I'm a yard sale addict now. We found so much great stuff! I want a job where I have weekends off now just to satisfy my habit lol

  • It was a good weekend for me.  I chaperoned the grad dance on Saturday which went well.  It is a boring 8th grade class, which meant no behavior problems, but it is also a group that I am sort of indifferent about.  But the kids loved the dance and that was really all that mattered.

Yesterday I was super productive--cleaned out our fridge and freezer, went for a 3 mile run, grocery shopped, set up guest rooms since we have company most of the week.  Then Ed and I watched Just Go With It last night, which was funny and cute.

  • Morning Ladies.

    We had a good weekend.

Friday, we got some stuff done around the house.

Saturday, we hosted a birthday party so heavy duty cleaning and yard work during the day and then a great time with friends during the late afternoon/evening. I overdid it on Saturday so my body hurt on Sunday and I had a splitting headache so I did a lot of nothing yesterday. I napped and lounged all day long.

    Have a great week everyone.

  • This weekend was packed!

Saturday I went to a baby shower for a friend.  It was nice and the food was good but people were so loud while she was opening gifts it was hard to enjoy all her presents.

Later that night I raced my first10K.  The course was pretty amazing, through woods and around a nice scenic area and I was pleasantly surprised with my time...54:57!  I was aiming for 58 or less but I felt fantastic, except for the last mile where my leg started to ache.

We then went to watch UFC at a friends house where the food from earlier in the day caught up with me and was no longer sitting well.

Yesterday I worked at one of my old pharmacies.  It was ok, but 7 hours straight and not sitting for even a second pretty much sucks.  Last night I just rested.
