I had to add your numbers to make it clear I wasn't talking about my gracie, as I am prone to do! I saw in the vent thread you are waiting to hear on a short sale. When did you make the offer? Waiting for this house was quite possibley the worst 2 months of my life. The anticipation, stress and just over all fruatration was painful. Hope you hear soon!

Re: *gracie2762**

  • The sellers accepted our offer April 13th and they asked us to sign off on 60 days for bank approval. Well that was up Friday and we just signed for a 30 day extension. It's frustrating b/c our realtor has a hard time understanding the listing agent on the phone (his English is not so great) and he's not very good at responding to her emails. Currently there are two families living in the house so I'm not sure if maybe they have nowhere to go yet so they're having the listing agent drag his feet with the banks or if it could be something worse and more complicated. It is really stressful! We've still been looking online but haven't found anything else we like. Did it take you two months just for bank approval?
  • Oh, it will rake every bit of two months for bank approval. Ours took two months and one week and that was fairly speedy for a SS. How many banks are you dealing with?your agent should be contacting the bank directly at this point because someone has to keep on them. The squeaky wheel gets the oil (is that how that goes?). From offer to close it took us just short of four months. It's a trying process to say the least. Good luck. Hope you hear something soon.
  • Sorry for the typos. I am on my phone.
  • So my agent talked to him today and apparently they are very anxious to close but one of the loans is with Freddie Mac and they're taking their sweet time. The other loan is with Sun Trust. Apparently he had a similar short sale that he's closing on today that took 5 months for bank approval. So we likely have another three months or more...
  • Ugh. Two banks makes it so much harder :( idk anything about the FM side but I would imagine they suck balls. Sorry that this is such a crappy proccess. But in the end it should all be worth it.
