My news about graduating
Since EverAfter asked, I figured I would share. I am getting close to finishing my Ph.D. and graduating. Finally! I started in August 2006 and will finish at the end of this summer. On the one hand, I'm very much looking forward to being done but on the other hand I'm anxious about having to find a new job and leaving behind something that has become so familiar, especially the friends I've made here. In other ways, I'm more than ready to move on and hopefully find a better situation (I don't want to go into details but things haven't been good).
Good job search thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I've been dreaming of finishing for awhile so I have such hopes of a new car and a new house with a yard, but of course I need that pesky job first.

DH and I still kick ourselves that I didn't accept my grad school offer at UNC. Just think of the lifestyle we could have had instead of living here! I could have had my dream house while in grad school. But alas, at least for the time being we will be staying in MD because DH's job is stable and I have no clue when I will find a job or if it's something that I will like doing. I don't want to move unless I'm sure that it's really something that I want and thankfully this area has possibilities for both of us. RTP would be another one of those areas but I like being closer to my family in PA.
We need to do a lunch downtown before I graduate too. We had talked about Miss Shirley's before.
