san jose water pipes burst situation...**update with photos/video**
JJ was headed up to my work to swap cars and he was stopped near San Jose and Old St. Augustine because there's a huge water main burst. He said there's tons of water everywhere, and all lanes of traffic are completely closed. He couldn't take San Jose to 295 or get on Old St. Aug to 295. He said there's tons of water and he thinks there will be a sinkhole, but he could easily, definitely be wrong (he likes to make sh!t up when he doesn't really know what's going on...) So anyway, if you have any details on the situation please add them because this is my route to/from work each day and I'm unable to find anything online about progress...
UPDATE: click on the link to the article CD posted for photos and video. Eep!

LOL.
Found this on News4Jax.com:
TRAFFIC ALERT: Northbound Lanes Of San Jose Blvd. At Sun Beam Rd. Closed
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- All northbound lanes of the 9000 block of San Jose Boulevard near Baymeadows Road were closed Monday due to a 24-inch water main break.
Road construction crews in the area closed the lanes just before noon.
JEA spokeswoman Gerri Boyce said a contractor struck the large underground water main Monday morning. Boyce said crews were trying to turn the water valve off and isolate the break.
She said a boil water alert could be issued depending on how long the water is flowing and how many people are affected. That alert could come later Monday.
This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
seriously, if you ever hear him start a sentence with "I've been told" then you know, without a doubt, that he has no clue wtf he's talking about.
I'll check that link throughout the day!
My google skills suck
Wah.
That's so funny. Silly boy.
I was wondering if it was a Zaxby's they were building!
I think you should have to drive by my house to get home today.
That really sucks! I think it's funny that the article lists the location as near Baymeadows, when in reality, Baymeadows Road is at least a mile north.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

They say Sunbeam too, which is much more accurate.
It's about 1.5 miles, it's a leg on my weekly run
You can walk to my house and I'll give you the garage code if you need to escape! It's about 4 miles. I'd die with no toilet. I'm assuming the library is the same way? Did they tell you it was okay to leave work? I seriously can't make it more than an hour these days...
Thanks for the offer.
We ended up getting water (and toilets) back around 2:30. Talk about a rough day at the office...
How was the road? Will it be closed tomorrow, do you think?
