Hi Ladies.
Here are some pictures from our living room remodeling. I'm sorry for the lack of before pictures. The major changes were the opening in the entry wall and covering the red brick fireplace with stone veneer, and taking it the whole way to the ceiling. I also painted the walls a taupe color instead of a very light tan. I don't have any of my things back on the walls yet. And I haven't gotten around to getting my new curtain rod and sheer curtains for the picture window yet.
We also got new shag carpet, and I FINALLY got rid of my hand me down leather sectional couch from the 70s.
The dining room floor is being installed later this week. I will posp pics next week on that.
Before:

New Couch

Opening in the entry wall

New loveseat and fireplace

Close up of new oak mantel

Re: Remodeling pics
The hearth ledge was already there. The fireplace used to have a wood burning insert in it, so the ledge was never noticable. And it always looked cluttered because I had a plant on each side of the insert.
I love it now. I actually want to get some black, wrought iron pedestals and put candles in the fireplace.
