*NOTE* this could get long.
My family lost my cousins wife last night. Please pray for my cousin, their 3 children and all the families involved.
My cousin (B) and his wife (L) just bought a new camper last weekend. They took it to the lake this weekend. L was out tubign with some friends and on a tube with 2 other people; she was in the middle. The guys on either side seen a boat coming straight at them so 1 rolled off the tube the other tried to get L off of the tube but the most we can think is she thought he was playing around and hung on tighter well the 2nd guy rolled off the tube and the L was ran over by the boat. Guy #1 seen L laying in the water face first and tried rolling her over and finally got it done with help of other people (guy #1 was 14). They got L in a boat and back to the campsite and the guy who hit her followed them. B was at the campsite talking to a friend who happened to be a paramedic and he immediatly went to work on L. She was lifeflighted from the lake to OU Medical in OKC. She was in serious critical condition and unconsious. My family and I went to the hosptial yesterday because they were going to run a brain scan on her at 2 and that would let my cousin know where to go with the decision making. Later they decided to wait until she had been there 24 hours to run the test which would have been roughly 6 pm. B and his in-laws were called into a meeting at 2:45 with L's doctors and then had a meeting with the immediate family. B, his parents, and in-laws came into the waiting room where we were all at along with a bunch of thier friends. The docs were pretty sure that when they took the machines off of her to do the brain scan she would pass so B and his in-laws decided that if she went the drs were not to revive her. She had broken ribs, pelvis, vertebrea, spline, her bowels were all messed up and she had a huge gash that went from the middle of her forehead above her right eye to her right temple. They asked for all of to go say our last good-byes and the brain scan was going to be ran later in the evening because L's grandma was on her way in from MO and they wanted her to be able to see L again. If she made it through the brain scan she would be in acoma the rest of her life which is why they made the decisions they did. We all went in and fullfilled the wishes of my cousin and family and seen her 1 last time. We left the hospital about 5 and my mom got the call around midnight that she had passed. She made it through 2 brain scans with a 19.6 (you have to be at a 20 to be considered brain dead) and they were going to do another test this morning but L went home to be with our Lord in Heaven after the 2nd test.
She was hit by a guy who's blood alcohol level was off the charts 2 hours after the incident happened and he was stoned on all kinds of meds that were found in his boat. After he hit her he followed the boat she was in back to the camp gound and he did not have any insurance nor a DL so not only will be charged with a DUI, DUI of narcotics, no insurance or DL he is also going to have manslaughter charges against him.
This has really opened my eyes to alot of things and re-evaluate what is important in my life. I also ask that when you get on a boat please, please be careful and do not go out with someone who is under the influence and be very cautious when your out tubing, sking or any other water activity. I would hate for any other family to have to go through what my cousin, his children, family and L's family is going through.

The children are 11, 7 and 5 so I know they will remember her and what a great person she was. They kids are going to need alot of prayers as she was a SAHM and the same prayers for my cousin as they all have to make alot of adjustments to make between his work schedule and kids activities. I know they have a lot of family and friends willing to help but it just won't be the same.
