Any RNs out there?
I am going to graduate from nursing school in August, so I'll soon be job-seeking. I know this probably depends upon the organization, and I plan to do some local research, but what type of experience have you had with applying before passing boards? Just want to get an idea of what to expect. Thanks!

I am in a nursing program and know many people who have graduated from medical programs. Most of them end up getting a job where they did their clinicals and the offer is made clear prior to the end of clinicals and they are urged to apply and get the job - upon passing of course.
graduated in dec '09. started applying for jobs that november before graduation. a lot of the jobs in my area were contingent on passing nclex. started interviewing in january. took nclex on feb 4 and started orientation on feb 15.

Oh, and I took my boards in the middle of January and was a RN by the end of January.
