Re: Tirade Tuesday
We got a tax notice in the mail that we owe $211 in addition to our already giant payment for our 1040. Apparently you can only take $2500 deduction in student loan interest. We paid $4000 in interest (and $900 in principle, yes, it makes me sick). So we had $4000 on the return, not $2500 and when the $1500 difference shuffled through the rest of the return we owe $211. I freaking haaaate these student loans, but I try to not b!tch about it too much because I know JJ feels bad that it's his debt not mine.... but JFC, 4000 in interest and 900 in principle... gah!

When are people going to realize that muslim == terrorist?! It's like saying all Christians support Westboro Baptist.
I'm also irrationally annoyed that the high is 100 today. I have lived in FL my whole life. It shouldn't piss me off this much, but it does. I think I've officially hit my limit. I am done being a FL girl.
In general, if I'm being honest, I'm all around just irrationally annoyed about everything today.
I have a lot to b!tch about right now, but I'll limit myself.
DH's ex-work extra double sucks even more now because they "couldn't help him" get his phone number back so now after like 10+ years he has to change his number.
I still want/need to buy a new dining room table (a cheap one from craigslist) but DH won't let me now.
Our kitty got fat when we went on vacation.
Word. I'm just like, over everything right now. I need to get my happy face on soon though. Good things are coming, I know that, but ugh, I'm over the small beat downs and frustrations.
This has nothing to do with the tirade other than the fact that the fat kitty/vacation part made me think of your kitchen. I just wanted to say that I am obsessed w/your back splash. There's not much to be upgraded in our house, but countertops/backsplash are definitely one of them. Glass subway tiles are exactly what I've been lusting after. Your combo looks so pretty. Also, what color is that on your walls?
I must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. I'm grumpy.
I keep finding reasons to cut my hours at work, but its cutting into our fun money.
I want a cranberry/vodka drink and its only 10.
DH is driving me nuts because he is set on trying to sell the house next summer, BUT wants to buy an additional car. He knows this will throw a wrench into his plans of selling next summer. Could he please make up his mind...

I feel like nobody has any work ethic or integrity any more. It never fails that we hire someone to do something, and some part of it (or the entire thing) inevitably goes south.
All the research I did, and all the quotes I got, for the fence we wanted to get installed is apparently for nothing. The guy we ended up hiring (because he had an A+ rating with the BBB, and said he did some of the fencing at Mayport) is a complete flake! His install guys lied to us multiple times, didn't show up, then did a sh!tty job including hitting a phone line and busting right through our irrigation line and not telling us about it! He's been horrible to get in touch with, and even though he said he'd have guys here to fix everything 9am Saturday morning, we've heard nothing and his guys didn't show. At this point, we have another company willing to do the job, but the 1st guy still has our deposit (we stopped payment on the 2nd check), and won't call us back. It's likely going to go to small claims court!
I'm so over this. I so badly want to beat this guy to a pulp just for the stress he's caused us. Originally DH wanted to do the fence, but we decided the extra $300 for installation would be worth his time and effort, but at this point I wish I'd let him!
