Hi all! I've posted once here but mostly hang out on other boards. I've ventured this way because I've been on a job hunt for a while and you all are very knowledgeable.
I am an attorney and my friend forwarded my resume to his friend to give to his boss for an opening at their firm. Did you follow that?
It's been about 3 weeks since he did so, but I know that for 2 of those weeks the boss was out of town. He's been back since June 8th. I'd like to call today to follow up, make sure he received the resume, and let him know how interested I am (without sounding desperate!).
I'm having trouble nailing down exactly what I should say. I want to say more than "just wanted to make sure you got my resume!" but am not sure exactly what to do. It's been a while since I've been in the job market. Any tips are appreciated, tia!

Perfect. And I would add, "would it be possible to meet to discuss any potential opportunities?"
