Blended families

If you are a newly blended family or know someone who has a blended family and love the Sooners you need to check out Leslie's Legacy on Facebook. Here is the description because I can't get the application link to post:

Leslie?s Legacy was formed to remember and honor Leslie?s life in a way that was uniquely Leslie.
Leslie Joy Bond Evans was a beautiful person inside and out. She had many passions including singing, teaching children, and being a stepmom. Leslie fell in love with Mark, Marli, Marcus, and Manning Evans after Mark?s wife Melinda died from breast cancer. Leslie was a wonderful stepmom in so many ways but what made her so special to Marli, Marcus, and Manning was that she was always up for adventure. Whether it was planning a visit to the OKC Zoo or organizing their trip to Disney World in 2009, Leslie loved building special memories with her new family. The love for kids also drove Leslie and Mark to add to their family and they were so excited to learn that Leslie would be having twins in 2010. Unfortunately Leslie only got to see her twins Mac and Marisa for a few minutes. Immediately after Mac and Marisa were born too premature to survive, Leslie suffered a tremendous medical emergency. Though the doctors and nurses fought hard for Leslie?s life, she died - joining Mac and Marisa in Heaven on October 7th, 2010.

Leslie?s Legacy was formed to remember and honor Leslie?s life in a way that was uniquely Leslie. Leslie loved having fun, her new family and watching OU football. To honor and remember Leslie, her friends and family have purchased 4 tickets to the OU home football games in 2011. These tickets are available for newly blended families as a way to spend quality bonding time together. Any blended family that is interested in attending one OU home football game through Leslie?s Legacy in 2011 needs to fill out and return an application to be eligible for selection.

To all the newly blended families that apply to Leslie?s Legacy, please know that we love you. We are hopeful that you are able to make the challenging transition into being a caring family that shows each other love every day. We hope that whether or not you are selected to go to a game through Leslie?s Legacy, you find time to build and cherish special memories with your new family. We know that Leslie would be proud of you for every time you take a break from the busyness of your lives to invest in each other.
