Re: Mommas!
I assume you mean mommas to be?? or SusieQ who just had a little one??
I'm good. Tired....no exhausted is more like it.....but good. I'm been fighting all day long sickness, and even though you would think food doesn't help, it does, so i feel like i'm eating all day!!! Trying to eat healthy stuff for the most part, but it's hard.
Well I meant both :-)
I ate like a cow with E because it was the only thing that kept me from puking my brains out.
Hanging in there.
Finally got Baby Q nursing without shield (only took 8 1/2 weeks!). So nice & easy now. He gets up once a night to eat, so I can usually get 5 or 6 hours of sleep in a shot.
Read up on 'milestones' this morning and went into a panic about Baby Q not meeting some. Then I smacked myself and realized he's fine and I'm being ridiculous.
Every time I think I am over the hump or feeling like crap...Nothing as bad as the beginning but last week I felt off all week. I think I need I just need to eat more often and more protein (which for not being able to bring meat to work I really need to try and get other proteins)
I'm glad I don't get headaches often because last night was awful. The light hurt my eyes and I could do nothing about it
Besides all my complaining I actually am feeling pretty good. I can't wait for my appointment next week when we schedule the date to find out what this LO is...
Tara go get some mexican food and take a loooong walk!
^^^^^ all this... and drag DH into bed when he gets home!!
Hey ladies!
I'm doing better, just feeling sick in the mornings, and not actually throwing up. Had a belly check this morning, which took forever because my doctor got called away to a c-section, and the other doctor on that day had all of her own patients to deal with as well. Then I got my 2nd tri bloodwork taken. Yay, hopefully I'm done with bloodwork for a while!
I think I'm feeling Predator move a bit, but not sure. People say that it can be mistaken for gas, but I don't really get much gas, so I don't think it's that.
I'm wearing my maternity clothes, which I think really accentuates the bump, but I don't mind. I can't believe the things people say to you, though. Yesterday an older (late 50's, no kids) co-worker said, "hey chubbs" to me. Um, whut? Thanks, dude. I actually haven't gained any weight, but thank you for activating my anxiety about gaining.
Ooo I forgot spermies make the cerv do things!!
Mush~I bet you're feeling it move!!! That's exciting!!!
This is me the last couple days as well. I was drinking a coke. Flame away Caffinee was the one thing I did not give up completely and I am 1000% ok with this. I kept feeling this something after I took a sip. Of course I don't know but I like to pretend it orange moving.
I would have punched him/her. Or said, "thanks dumbass!" or "I might be GAINING weight but obviously you're LOSING brain cells b/c you don't say that to a pregnant woman!"
Ha! That's funny. I mostly don't want to do the deed NOW because I already feel huge and differently shaped. I can't imagine wanting to do it at 40 weeks!
I said, really, Helene? Is that what you're going with? She apologized, and was like, I don't know what's wrong with me. Um, me neither.
She also discussed her abortion(s) at a lunch with some co-workers that we took shortly after I announced my pregnancy. Um, thanks?
Don't feel bad! I still have some caffeine, depending on what I want. Even What to Expect, which is notoriously fear-inducing, says 200mg a day is fine, and a can of coke is only like 50.
I struggle to get enough water, so I try to force myself to stick to that during the day, but if we go to a restaurant, I usually get iced tea or diet coke. No big deal.
Psst! I also eat bleu cheese sometimes.
And I've definitely heard of more movement after drinking caffeine. Some mommas even have a Coke if they're feeling paranoid and haven't felt the baby kick in a while.
haha I have had blue cheese as well. I like wings
I believe it was after my first appointment I went to see Greg at work and was hungry so I got a Grilled Cheese with ham. Half way through it I was like I think I read you aren't suppose to eat deli meat, I laughed then went back to eating said sandwich.
If I didn't have coke I would have died during really bad M/S coke settles my tummy.
Technically, lunch meat is fine if it's heated to steaming (or 15 seconds, I've read), so grilled cheese and ham is fine. And delicious! (I ate my way through a package of Kraft Singles and sliced ham during 1st tri in about a week.) But my doctor, again, is not as worried about it. He said eat in moderation, and use your best judgment about whether the particular deli meat is good.
At that conference on Friday, lunch was pre-boxed sandwiches, and there was another pregnant lady that looked at me like I was crazy for eating a ham/turkey club. Shut it!
Stop reading and googling!
Seriously I drank coffee and soda and ate deli meats and cheeses. There is nothing wrong with my kid.
I also use to down a mt dew before E's cousins would come over because they liked to feel her kick and move :-)
Everything's going well over here
Seems I'm done with morning sickness (not that it was ever that bad - and yes, I know I'm lucky). We have our major ultrasound and find out what the wiggle monkey is on 6/30 and I'm very excited. I'd like a girl, but the Bruins are one game away from winning the Stanley Cup and I'm convinced we're having an Attison Neely. I've felt little pops every once in a while, but no concrete baby movements and I'm dying because I know how cool and reassuring it feels! Emma is super excited to be a big sister and even agrees now that if she has a brother she'll love him (originally she only agreed to love a sister). In the morning when I drop her off at school she kisses my belly and says "goodbye baby sister or baby brother!" and it's sooo cute
As far as sticking to the "rules" don't worry about it too much because as long as you don't do anything really unhealthy your baby will be fine and if you listened to everything the books tell you, you'd never enjoy anything!
Yay, Aspersia! I'm excited your anatomy scan is so soon. Mine isn't until July 8th. My doctor insists on waiting until at least 20 weeks, and we'll be off on vacation when that hits, so going a little after.
We're going to do the ring test this weekend, and then see if that's correct.
I feel so bad, I haven't taken any bump pics yet! I still look different every day. Yesterday I was HUGE, but I'm attributing that to my big Taco Bell lunch at 11. Today it's almost nothing.
Okay, here we go - belly pics!
This is when we first found out at 5 weeks:
And this was 13 weeks (2 weeks ago):
I've been wearing everything with bellybands, but I finally gave in and bought maternity jeans on Saturday. Any one else have pics to share??
Hey girlies!!
Still here.. after spicy Mexican food, long walks, and sex. This boy just isn't ready yet!!
A word of advice: take lots of belly pics.. each week if you remember!! I have a book, "The Belly Book" and you update it weekly and it really is super cool to see the transition!! I also have the album on my facebook.. minus the bare belly shots.
Also, don't worry about the lunch meats and the caffeine! Remember, everything is moderation is okay!! I had my share of ham and cheese sandwiches and sodas and starbucks! I just made sure to not go overboard! I also never let myself "eat for 2". I think that is why I only gained 5 pounds (plus I was overweight for my height when I started so I didn't want to turn into a cow!).
Glad everyone is feeling well.. and you are all starting to show! Soo exciting!
