dh and i are having a couple over for dinner next weekend. we have 3 kids so a nice sit down dinner would probably be a disaster!! i was thinking of making a bunch of apps or grilling. what do you think would be best? and some ideas of what to make, thanks!
Re: having dinner guests
So you have kids, but they don't - is that correct?
I'd probably cater towards the grown ups, then. Grill kabobs or fish, and maybe just throw on come hot dogs/hamburgers for your kids. I wouldn't just do apps... if I were the guest, I'd wonder when dinner was coming and then stop at a drive through on the way home.

I agree... if you invited them over for dinner, I would expect dinner. You know what your kids eat, I'm sure you can make something to satify them and you can still cook or grill for you and your guests.
