I know we've done this before, but while we're recommeding wine's, anyone care to discuss their fav cheeses (and possibly recipes?).

  • I'm surprising; but I just can't get into brie.

I like bleu cheese, goat cheese, guoda, and cheddar.  This week at the grocery stop I "splurged" and asked for a hard, aged cheddar and she recommended an Australian Boxing Chedder. WOWZER, it's amazing!!! I honestly tried to hide it from DH in the fridge Embarrassed, but he found it Super Angry.  It has been 2 days, the pound is already half gone.

  • I am soo boring...I like the norm..cheddar, colby, moz, jack. ooo pepper jack is good. I do like Brie which is weird for me. I like to get baked french bread from deli and good brie and spread it on the bread. I'm starting to get into provolone which I don't think really has a flavor... I'll have to try the boxing cheddar..sounds really good!

Seriously, do it!  It's semi-hard so it's kind of crumbly in way, but it is so friggin tasty!

  • I'm the most boring person alive.  My favorite cheese is Kraft mild cheddar.  lmao

I will never turn my nose up at any cheese, but my favourites tend to be the creamy white cheeses like brie, havarti, lappi and gouda.  Cheese please!

Lol, I used to be anti-cheese. I wouldn't eat it on sandwiches (cold or melted), salads and certainly not plain.  Then last year at my sis's graduation we went out to eat and got a cheese flights.  Ever since then, I've been obsessed!

  • I love cheeseSurprise In fact I just sent DH a message about cheese...

On our mini-moon we got a cheese platter and we've done that as a special treat anytime we want to celebrate...my favorites are Sage Darby, Havarti and Port Cheddar although I've met few cheeses I didn't love-especially smoked cheeses.  I really liked Strawberry Champagne from Yancy's Fancies.

DH's favorite is smoked gouda (which I also love)

  • I can't get into Brie either.  Lately I'm totally in love with goat cheese.  I've always liked it on pizza, etc, but recently I love to just get a chunk of it, a knife and some crackers and just go crazy while watching Tosh.o

Try this sometime.  I'm not crazy about brie either but this is delicious:

And Eeva, havarti is my favorite sandwich cheese!  It makes a delicious grilled cheese sandwich!!!

  • Megan, our in-house caterers used to do a similar recipe, and it was delicious.  I'm also not a fan of brie, but that is freaking amazing.  At every reception, the first question anyone here asked was, "you ordered the gooey brie, RIGHT?!?"

I'm a fan of cheddar, havarti, gruyere, gorgonzola (especially on garlic bread, yum!), and swiss. I love the Tillamook cheddar, and I will eat a hunk of it like whoa.  My husband loves provolone, but I hate it and refuse to buy it if I'm making sandwiches.
