Do you use them when eating Asian cuisine?
I do and swear that it somehow magically makes the food taste better. DH doesn't use them and thinks I'm nuts.

Re: Chopsticks
LOL this is great
Otherwise no, I never use them
I can't believe you can't use them for rice! I am a master....I only get one grain of rice at a time though......
Just kidding, I can only use them for large pieces of food. Once I get down to the rice its fork time!
Well put. Same with me. I am chopstick challenged!

The summers when I was 7 and 8 we had Japanese Foreign Exchange Students stay with us - my family ate only with chopsticks for dinner while the girls stayed with us. This helped solidify my chopstick skills
DH only started using them in college (he's from a very meat-and-potatoes family), and loves to use them every chance he gets. He even has a very nice pair (well weighted/balanced) that he refuses to let me use. LOL.
Trip to Prague & bring home furbaby when we get back

I'm a total child when it comes to food, so the only "asian" food I eat is sweet and sour chicken, but without the sweet and sour sauce (so, chicken nuggets) and I eat those with my fingers or a fork. lol
I have ventured into the realm of fried rice, but I still don't like it, but I'll eat it if I have to... and I use a fork for that too.

I do whenever I can. I travel to Japan for work occassionally and want to keep my skills up. In the US we do not usually have sticky rice so I need to use a fork for that.
On a flight to Japan the flight attendant had chopsticks for the noodle soup. A lady passenger asked for a spoon. i could not believe the flight attendant responded with a comment that she needed to get used to chopsticks since she was going to Japan. To which the lady responded - "I have a connecting flight to Guam."
LOL!
I use them when eating at Asian restaurants. I like that I take smaller slower bites that make me enjoy the food more and not eat too much/too fast.
funny stuff! though.. how in the world was that lady intending on eating cup noodle with a spoon?! A fork to grab the noodles, but a spoon? Did she have both a fork and a spoon or something? Insanity XD
