Re: twoBECAMEone

  • I sure am!!!! I'm over-the-moon excited about it but all the details are escaping me. Any words of advice about twins in general or products I "NEED" to get vs ones I shouldn't waste my money on?

ETA: Oh.. and how about anywhere to find deals on things?

  • And I've been on/off lurking on the Multiples board but haven't posted anything yet for fear of being the broken record person who asks the same questions that someone else has recently asked.

  • Congrats again! It's been a crazy ride, but so very worth it.

Everyone has their differences of opinions as far as what you need (I'm sure you've seen the registry questions), but here is my list for must haves:

-2 FP Rock n' Play sleepers (we have used them every single day! I recommend them highly, but be sure to put some extra padding like a receiving blanket underneath to help avoid flat heads)

-Chicco Keyfit30 carseats. Well worth the money if they fit your vehicle! Super easy to adjust.

-Double Snap n' Go stroller (I can actually sell you mine if you are interested)

-Post-DSNG stroller is up to you, but I just got a Baby Jogger City Select and I love it!

-At least one swing and one bouncer. You can see what your babies like and then buy a second of whatever works. The FP swings are nice, especially the Snugabunny because you have the option to plug it in instead of using countless batteries. We have 2 swings AND 2 bouncers, and frankly we don't use the bouncers much.

-Dr. Brown's bottles -worked really well when the girls were super small and we really haven't used any other bottles since

I also highly recommend joining a MoM group if you haven't already. I am a member of the MVMOMs and the group is great! They do the 2 sales a year (spring and fall) and the deals are always really really good. I bought over 50 pieces of clothing and outfits for just over $100 at the spring sale this year. Membership is only about $25 a year. They have online classifieds and an online forum. The women in that group are awesome, but I have heard that the other groups in the area are pretty good too.

I will PM you my email address if you have other questions. Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy! Take good care of yourself!
