And he's soooo upset about it. Granted his bday isn't till August, but he's been like this for at least 6 months. I originally wanted to throw him a surprise party but its not really in our budget for a big thing. Idk what to do? We went out to a nice dinner with 3 other couples for my 30th. Anyone got any suggestions??!!

C was the same when when he turned 30 (big baby). I got a few of his friends together and surprised him - we went out to a bar, had some drinks food and hung out. He had a good time - very low key and inexpensive.

last year I surprised M with a overnight stay in Mystic, I just told him we were going somewhere and we left. It was nice, total cost with everything including a small gift was around $400...well maybe gas isn't included there.

For DH's 30th I got him 30 presents. Most were just small token items that focused on his interests with a few bigger things mixed in. It took a lot of work to find 30 things without breaking the bank but it was fun too.

My Dh is also turning 30! Not till September tho. He's not really feeling down about it & in fact is insisting ona party! lol So i am throwing him one but it will just be a BBQ since we have one annually anyways i'm combining the 2. Burgers, Dogs, & a keg

Maybe grab some of his close friends and take them to dork it up at the Castle? 40 year olds roller skating with a buzz could be fun, especially if there's an 80's night going on.....

I just turned 30 MDW!!!

We always have a MDW / Birthday BBQ at my parents - so this year my mom went and invited people that I didnt know would be there as a surprise.

And Friday night my Best friend and Husband took me out drinking and invited people to surprise me as well
