Re: Tuesday Afternoon Poll
Fountain drinks kind of gross me out after working movie theater concessions for five years. If a business doesn't regularly take the nozzles apart to wash and sanitize them...oh the gunk and mold!
ew. you may have just ruined my blossoming $2 a day diet coke/pepsi habit..
Eww. Eww. Eww! So gross. Normally I am not a pop person. Unless I am sick, hung over or really sad, then I love a fountain pop (preferably from 7-11 or McD's). But I think you just cured me of this Chymes!
LOL!
Well, let's just say that at least Showcase Cinemas did not do this regularly enough. Since they have since been bulldozed, none of you have to worry about that one!
Can't speak for anyplace else, though...
Hey! I also worked in concessions at a Showcase Cinemas (not around here, though) for several years! Small world. We soaked the nozzles overnight, though, so ours were clean...except that we also had Brisk iced tea as one of our fountain drinks, and nobody ever ordered it. When we had a different line replaced in one of the fountains, we discovered that the Brisk line was completely full of mold.
Yeah...there's that to consider, too. Our rarely-used line was the orange pop.
Ah, food service!
